Great read, but feels slightly rushed

The art was good, and the story was pretty decent. It did however feel slightly rushed, since the manga felt like it was meant to be longer than 4 volumes. The last volume felt like it was put together quickly without telling the whole story.

not the same as famidol

Famidol is a oneshot by the same artist with no relevance to Koisome.
I don't know if it was an extra in the tankobon or a later release or what- but its a completely separate entity and should have its own page.

It is good

The oneshot is pretty good.
The series is good and I liked it. Story-wise is a little different from the oneshot (and the location in which it takes place is totally different), with some common elements you will realize if you read the oneshot first. It have its cliche moments (to some people), its ecchi moments (few and well placed, some just to be funny, and some for plot), its funny moments and its serious and endearing moments. Of course, Sana and Nana/Yui are hot and pretty in anything they wear (casual clothes, uniform, ...). The characters (Shouta, Sana, Nana , the idol, male lead boy friend and girl friend) are interesting.
The series is short but entertaining, things do not get draggy, and happen at a natural pace. I recommend you to give it a try, give it some time and make your own opinion of it.
If you read the spoiler in evanlai review it give you an idea of some of the differences with the oneshot.
It officially ends in ch 28, and I liked the extras (ch. 29, 30 and 31).

Whaaaat!? I really did not expect what I read on other comments here.

I havent read any other romance manga like this one as far as shounens go.

It's very funny, very cute, very creative (as far as shounens go), and it's short. It ends before it starts dragging moronicly. Specially the drag. It might force situations to make it funny, but never for the sake of draging, such as interrupting kisses, confesions, replis, etc. which is great

Anyway, it's a great read.

Completely Agree

I completely agree with the people below me who said this manga is cliche and predictable. The oneshot was pretty good but when I read the serialized version it's so boring and cliche. When I read the part where the main character's childhood shows up again it's so obvious that things are going to be so predictable.

Even though manhwa/manga are cliche I still give it a chance but this manga I couldn't do it. When the childhood friend uses her big boobs and sex appeal to lure the main character I couldn't read another chapter. Another manga that is almost exactly like Ichigo 100% and many others that I don't want to list.

Overall just read the oneshot.

Shounen romance rockets then plummets.

It's true. The romances always start out good, but I don't think it's the manga-ka's fault. I think the manga-ka's never get the time to finish their stories. Most of the time they're axed.

The successful shounens are the long ones:
I"S, Ichigo 100%, Love Hina.
Sadly, I can't say that's always the case...To-Love-Ru just prolonged and waited until it was axed bigrazz

Back to the manga, I hope it doesn't end up like Pajama Na Kanojo. It got axed with a bad ending. I have a good feeling about this manga, the main character loves ONE girl, and his blushing is so hilarious. Nisekoi + Koisome Momiji!!! I <3 shounen romance!! Oh and earnest young love is good biggrin

Cute and sweet

Y'know, I really get tired of people knocking a fairly good manga just because they say it's 'cliche'. There are so very few truly original things nowadays that sometimes you can't help but use some standard situations... however, it's what the series DOES with those cliches that matters. I'm taking this story as it is.. a simple and cute love at first sight kind of thing. It's sweet and heart-warming, if a bit on the silly side sometimes.. what with Sana's obliviousness to her own feelings and Yui's sometimes awkward attempts at flirting. I'm usually the kind of guy who likes the less popular characters in an anime or manga.. but in this one, Sana has me completely enamored. Anyways... basically.. I think it's good, so don't knock it til you try it.

... Also, Kotori needs a good spanking to get her act together. Geez.

Edit: Huh.. dunno how long this manga was planned to be, but things seem to be coming to a head now in these latest chapters.

Oneshot was good

It was really good actually. The drawing was really really nice although the movements were ecchi-ly awkward. Because I enjoyed the oneshot somewhat so I thought moving on to the series would be fine.

But well...

It is like others said it became boring and cliche. I read until chapter 5 and now I'm thinking, meh, I don't want to continue any longer. The drawing degraded as well. And introducing new busybodies as well as his "dull" with hot bod first love... I'll move on to the Gion horror to see what will happen :>

But the oneshot was good! Do try it biggrin
