Very brutal and gory but very fast paced, action packed and exciting!! The plot is so unpredictable and so are the characters! You would have them from the evillest to the most admirable ones..and they could die off anytime so don't get too attached!!

Artwork is very cool and the romance is just moving!! I really love this manga!!(well the recent ones were not so endearing because my favorite character is absent at the moment, he will come back right?)

Surely better than the anime! In the animated series there was nothing more but big tits.

i like this manga because i like the main chara (kurono, not kato) in the way he thinks and behave , i dont care that much about the art ( too much cg anyway) nor the nudity, imo the only real bad point of this series is the low number of dialogs during the fights and the fact that they go on too long..
i also dont like how the story is unfolding lately, but thats another issue i guess:-D

It's amazing how the author can manage to full the desires of his readers with some of the most wicked elements and then come out as one of the greatest manga ever to be created. Honestly, all I have seen unique about this manga alone is that several of the main characters have died, and for some odd reason, that has been called by others to be a very interesting factor. And yeah, this manga does end up playing with themes like death, you-can-change-you're-life-if-you-try-hard-enough, nudity, sex (note the very first female lead in the character started off coming in totally nude, among other things) and whatnot. But as I said before, incorporating these elements does not make a great series, only one that feeds the corrupt desires of it's readers.

Overall, it does deserve points for the great artwork (no doubt), originality in killing off key characters, and death, but again loses the marks due to the way it was done. 2.5/10.

The story isn't lacking there is no story. After 20 volumes you still haven't found anything out. Characters suck 2. The manga does rape your mind. The art is good, but it's not that good. This is for those people into guro and don't want to admit it. This s&^t is rated higher then Naruto, Living game, Tenjou tenge(hell it's all about the art still better than this), Shaman King, etc. The other manga's made by this aren't much to brag about either.

PS: This should be for little kids who like shiny things, but this is for 16+ so I don't know for who this manga is made.

I was say like "WTF, it's strange...I loled! what is this thing... half-life game or some?" at first reading gantz... later it's very interesting plot... more action and sexy... I LOVE IT!!

When I first started reading Gantz it was "ok". After a few chapters it was great, cool and awesome!
But then they added Vampires... and then this huge blood bath.. Kinda sucks till then

I wasn't into seinen at all when I found Gantz. But that's what got me into it. Even though it doesn't really make much sense. Starting from the first chapter I strongly disliked the main character, and there wasn't really any character I liked, but those huge guns and killing kept me reading XD But after few volumes the main character starting to become something more than just a selfish bastard, and character development is what I worship, so I became a fan of this manga after it became more than big guns and killing. Big-boobied naked girls on covers always were very annoying through.
Now I'm waiting till phase 2 will progress a bit more and then I'll start reading it again.

GOOD. If you need something to do, whether you've seen the anime or not, this is a very good way to spend your time.
