It requires many chapters to have the story understood and appealing. But even without the story, the style the character has, and the flows already enticing many of us. That wolfie is GAR!

you dont usually get comments this nice and descriptive... but theyre all right. this series is epic, although theres only 12 chapters out and theres the occasional akward translation. and the teacher has boobs too big for her personality. and it think it should set in high school. but everything else is epic. btw, theres a girl who looks exactly like moaning myrtle from harry potter in this manga O_o

It's been quite a while since I've seen a good vamp/werewolf manga. Other than the now famous Vampire Knight, this is best-no good- no wait, AWESOME?!! ^_^

That title does it so little justice yet sums it up quite well. The thing, with only twelve chapters so far, is absolutely stunning.

If you liked Akumetsu to any degree, you have GOT TO READ THIS MANGA. Made by the same(now apparently and evidently) awesome mangakas, the story is enticing, characters are quite amazing, and the art is...

Art is godly. If you know akumetsu art, then you'll recognize this immediately in five pages flat, but then you'll notice after a couple of chapters... It's godly. Akumetsu art turned godly, that's how to sum it up. In only twelve chapters, there are dozens of stunning, fucking amazing artistic moments. Blood done perfect, action is fluid, the arrogance captured amazingly. Although different from it, this art almost rivals that of Berserk in terms of awesomeness. Almost, and that's saying a fucking lot, right?

Story is good and simple for the amount of chapters out. Outcast werewolf gets transferred to new school, and because of the arrogance in his eyes, he is immediately targeted by the superbad gang of deliquents there. And these deliquents aren't just your normal delinquents; these are some tough ass mothers.

Characters are awesome. The maincharacter is maybe an antihero, not too sure yet. The teacher has too large boobs- make it one or two sizes smaller and less skirts and I'd like her more, although her design is nice. The deliquent chick is my favorite dressed girl, and she acts so funny and slutty in a wicked way. And of course, the main deliquent... OMFG, he's a middle schooler?!

That's the only bad part about this manga. I'm pretty sure that 9th grade is considered middle school in japan, but still... really? At least put them in a high school where the violence and sex is a bit more in the right place. I mean, some girls with giving a guy(student or teacher, I'm not sure) a forced blowjob on the roof... I mean, damn.

haha, don't get me wrong it's hella cool. I like the trend of some guy who everyone overestimates. He takes it like a man(wolf?), then kicks some assholes real gud.

But above all the moments where the reader just goes "THIS IS FKN AWESOME," there hasn't been anything I can score on... considering the scanlations I've read so far.

There hasn't even been a plot yet. What's the story about? There is some line in sight but to too many different directions. Nothing is solid yet. What we have is some condescending pompous werewolf who is gud at getting hit and kicking ass, regrettably not taking any names. All we have from the teach is that she (huge knockers) is incredibly interested in wolfboy (sexual intentions much?) Add in some delinquents, sex, and akuma (i lol'd). We have an attention grabber with potential. But that's about it... so far.

So while I do giggle as I read this well drawn manga, I can't say much until I've read more.
But to be honestly fair on my last note, I don't think this manga can fail. Its EPIC scale is off the charts.

i just started reading this and it seems to have a lot of potential. I read a lot of fantasy books and i gotta say twilight ruined vampires for all eternity. i don't know if anyone else reads fantasy books but Patricia Briggs writes a couple of werewolf sires that are definitely worth a read.

Been waiting for a werewolf manga for ages. After the inane amount of vampire mangas its about time that a werewolf manga came out, what with werewolves being so much better than vampires. IMHO. wink
Very good manga otherwise. Definitely better than akumetsu where you have to sit through large chunks of evil's back story. Can't wait to see more of the werewolf.

I'm always looking for series that include werewolves. Enough vampires, werewolves are so much more unique and fascinating! I was delighted when I found this series, though at first apprehensive.

So far this series has not failed to deliver. The gritty portrayal shows werewolves as they should be; lethal, violent, scary, sexual, like vampires, but even more badass. The art is absolutely amazing, and the pace is fast and exciting, and in my opinion it's considerably better than Akumetsu (which, like someone else said, has pacing problems and drags on at times. Wolf Guy does not!) I downloaded the raws; if only I could understand them! I hope scanlations are fast.

Wolf Guy is by far my favorite manga. Don't get me wrong - I'm not some n00b who fell in love with the first manga she read. Oh no, I'm much worst. I've read a superfluous amount of manga (my computer actually crashed because I had so much of it saved) and I never dreamed that a series as short as this one is right now could have possible "captured the hill."

But it did.

I fell in love after reading the first chapter. I then avidly waited for the second. After reading the second, I couldn't take it anymore. Savageness, intelligence, and Akira Inugami's cursed and awesome aura pulled me in. I found a website that distributes Japanese products, www.bk1.jp, and went ahead and ordered the four volumes that were available. I don't know a shred of Japanese, but the drawing is so epic and the expressions are so vivid that you don't need to know what's being said to know what's going on. Quite different from Dogs Bullets and Carnage, no?

The fifth volume is either out now or being distributed this month - 05/2009 (I don't know enough Japanese to figure out what bk1 was saying). Either way, I bought it.

Wolf Guy is so well written, well drawn, well plotted, hell: well done, that I fell it trumped the series that got me into manga, Berserk. Perhaps it's not for everyone. Actually, it's most definitely not. It's violent. It's sexual. It's brilliant. It's passionate.

Are you getting what I'm trying to say?

If not, let me clarify: I. Love. Wolf. Guy. I highly recommend it to anyone who can handle it. If any translators read this, do yourself a favor and read it. Then possibly do a huge favor for us monolingual English-speakers and hop on over to MangaHelpers.

this thing's good. i'd say a notch or two above akumetsu. it's faster paced with a lot less dialogue to slow you down, as well as enough information for the reader to get a clear description of the plotline. art's about the same, more or less. so far the three chapters have been pretty interesting. and the protagonist [i'm tempted to say antihero, but i can't really confirm it yet] is this aloof badass who's brazen to the core, unafraid of knives and gangsters and hot female homeroom teachers.
