Stop rating a 1 for the book - the art doesn't deserve that!

It's obvious that this manga was rated so low simply because it is Twilight. Guess what, people? No one cares that you don't like it, so grow up and give the artist a fair chance! I read Twilight, New Moon, and couldn't finish Eclipse, and I'll say straight out that I didn't like them because, as a creative writing major, I didn't find anything particularly artistic or literary about them. When I saw that there was a manga, I decided to flip through it for the sake of seeing the art. Kim Young's style isn't my usual style, but it is lovely and refined in its own way. From what I read of it, it seems to be a pretty faithful adaptation of the novel. Therefore, I don't see why it has so many negative votes. This isn't the a page for critiquing the novels, it's a page for critiquing the adaptation!

As the title says, awful. Does the terror ever stop?
The Twilight books were alright, nothing to sneeze at, but also nothing to go into fangirl mode.
So with that being said, this graphic novel would be even less than that.
Reminds me of the High School Musical manga...lolwut...
And to think there's even a dictionary describing the words in all the books...God help us.

I have to admit that I read Twilight, and yes I love it.
I love the way how Stephenie Meyer describe everything, how deep Edward love Bella, Edward's thinking...
all the words in the novel really captivating.
However, I couldnt like Stephenie Meyer's describing bout vampire, how they are shinning under sun, etc. I just feel it's not right.
but then, when it comes up into a movie.... geez... I cant stand it! the movie couldnt adopt the feeling of the novel, it just filled with some handsome guy. no more.
and this... suddenly become a manhwa... Zzz..... failure.. failure...
KIM Young couldnt bring those magical words of the novel into a graphic....

Seriously? And I thought making a high school musical manga was bad enough... I only rated this 5 because I like the Twilight series, but in my opinion it shouldn't have been made into a manga.

I have always been a great fan of the books. I hated the movie and also hated the hype arround the twilight saga.

Sure this graphic novel is something else and sure the artwork is different from real manga and manwha, but you don't get the "wow!" feeling when reading this. It's another adaption of a somewhat overrated book. Don't mistake me, I really enjoyed reading the books, because of the writing style and the way the characters were develloped. But this thing is just pushing it.
Although the artwork is nice and different (really refressing, you can see that the artist has done a pretty good job), still this graphic novel is missing something I can't quite name, or tell in words. It's just lacking something.
finally I wanna say that it's still an enjoyable read. It's not good, but it ain't bad either. I have mixed feelings, so my rating is in the middle.

Twilight.....ugh.
I think its been blown way too out of proportion for an 'okay' book. For them to trample into manga might be pressing it too far...and I saw this after they have made cardboard standups and other stupid little dolls . _ .

If you like twilight then you need to get your hands on this because it makes you feel like you felt when you first read the book. If you didnt like twilight etc.. you might want to give it a try because i think having the pictures can create a different perspective.

As far as plot goes it covers just about everything that you could want and leaves nothing essential from the book out. Also as a warning, don't expect the entire first book to be covered. It ends after the scene where bella sees edward in the sunlight for the first time and they are heading back to her house. (cant wait for the second half!)

If you are a fan a of manga/manhua then dont expect the artwork to be the same style because its not. I was expecting big eyes and well the typical drawing style you expect in manga. But the drawing of the people and the detail in the background and stuff is much more realistic and to tell you quite simply I LOVED IT!!! The artwork is in black&white as you would expect, but occasionally in (perfect) places there will be a hint of color & well that just made the read even more delightful! My only complaint is that Edward's crooked smile wasn't drawn :\

(ps. I think this was way better than the movie)
