I completely agree with what Alexiel said. The oneshot was really good, but I didn't know how/if they could serialize it. Well they did and they trotted out every cliche they could think of. Nice guy, cute stranger, convenient blush moment brings them together, turns out she is a new transfer student, add huge-breasted childhood friend, love triangle ensues, beach episode, etc.
I know it's Jump and romance isn't their forte, but it seems like all good stories or those with potential are put through the 'Jump process' and all come out the exact same with different character names. I still will read it, but only in the hope that the author will find a way to wring out the potential that was shown in the oneshot.

The oneshot was so good that it made me happy when i saw it tunerd into a serie, but im really disappointed, this manga turned into an ocean of cliches and boring. Maybe when this ends i try to read, but for now im dropping cause im tired of the same thing again and again.
Sweet, heartfelt romance~

This is an addicting romantic comedy manga with a nice original twist. I really like the way the story develops and its not cliched at all. Now, reading the first chapter, it might seem too sudden and senseless for the girl to be familiar and trusting towards the guy after meeting only twice, but I take it that the guy simply seemed so harmless and had a friendly 'aura', that the girl felt reassured with him (instincts, perhaps?), and then add the fact that she's attended all-girls school all her life, never had any romantic experience (thus implying she isn't familiar on how to interact with a boy her age), hence this probably explains her over-friendly-ness. Not forgetting her intention of finding a practice boyfriend for her acting role. Like some readers, I also dislike the nonsensical 'sudden attraction' romantic developments, but I think the one in this manga is plausible.
The male protagonist may seem a bit too 'girly' at first, but damn, soon enough he'll act very manly and heroic (i.e. cliff incident); very much deserving the affections of the female love interests. He's just incredibly honest, innocent, shy and unselfish.
The first female protagonist is kinda innocent too in a way, and she isn't the type of female protagonist that's 'hard to get' or totally oblivious of the guy's affections towards her. The rival girl may be a gravure idol, but she's really weird and funny~
The art is simply BEAUTIFUL, and the ecchi level is quite mild, if that's your concern.
The romance is the meat of the manga, and its deliciously sweet and totally heartfelt, just the way I like it

I kinda agree with leopark and emkat.
At first its like what emkat said, a male fantasy story... if you did not read the oneshot. For me the reason why it became a series because it has the nice concept and its Shonen Jump. Based from what I know, they will choose a series that is unique and based on reader votes.
For a series kinda lucky since manga these days. I agree with leopark, competition will be a bit harsh. however if the creators of the manga played their cards right it will be a success.
Its like the one shot but longer. Here are some details why...
I think its a nice series for a love story, it has a the unique concept. A love between two people in a 'unexpected situation' (thanks to the girl). Ecchi is pretty much justify since the girl is HOT haha. And comedy is a assurance since the boy is like a girl HAHA.
I would recommend it if you want to read a different kind of manga when it comes to love

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
- Oneshot = they are filming a movie
Series = they are filming a morning drama
- Oneshot = the girl will not stay too long since she is not a student at the rural place
Series = the girl will stay because she needs to study the role of her character since
she is a newcomer
- Oneshot = The girl is a child prodigy actress
Series = She is not (why whould she waste time transfering to a new school)
There are still a lot of pointers that are stretch since it became a series however I don't want to spoil the fun for others hehe

@emkat has a more realistic taste than most people lol. Most fantasy manga are way "out of wack" like this! To Love Ru is even more! This first chapter was pretty good but it will be hard to work its way up from now on. There has been quite a few of romantic series in WSJ, might be hard for this one to actually compete.
Male Fantasy Story?

This is delving way into vicarious-fantasy-story for my taste. Only the first chapter is out, but the story progressed incredibly fast to the point where it is not believable. The story seems too out of wack -Popular out of reach idol aggressively makes a move on shy loser boy.
