I just started reading HITMAN REBORN yesterday.

And it was fantastic.

Well like everyone said, the first 60-70 chapters were kinda boring but it became interesting..
I'm glad I didn't skip any chapters... TOTALLY AWESOME

i know at the beging it looks dumb! but u have 2 believe in this manga.....
give it time to grown on you! *sounds lame* but still.... you can't complain unless you guys read ch62 onwards! even thou i don't have a clue what author tried to do ch10 onwards to ch60! but from 62 onward its the real deal!

this is a very nice review that pretty much sums up why oh why this 2-yr old series has been making it to the top 5 (2nd to One Piece) rankings of Shounen Jump over the past few months...

THAT Anime Blog v2.0's take on Katekyo Hitman REBORN!

The daily life arcs are the ones that tend to make most people turned off because they are mostly about character introductions, "slice of life" hijinks, and assorted comedic scenarios. There was no actual plot development about Tsuna becoming the 10th generation boss or any sort of proper fighting and ability training, and so I guess most people just got bored by that. Personally I liked the daily life arcs because they are really quite funny, especially Lambo and his nonsense.

REBORN's popularity rose when the Vongola Rings story arc started because that is where all the cool fighting gets even better from the fighting in the [kokuyo] arc. The fighting in REBORN! is quite reminiscent to that of Black Cat and GetBackers, as in a mix of natural abilities and weapon gimmicks.

as for me, i'm crazy about this series right now. first, this series called my attention because of the boys LOL. next was the idea about mafias. when i looked it up here, there was this huge baby with big eyes staring right back at me. i thought i made a mistake somewhere!

anyway i thought the baby concept was too sketchy in the beginning but i decided to give it some more chapters. i actually got used to them, then the series started getting cooler. characters that are so rich and colorful in personality. insane wackiness. plus the whole family/loyaly code was getting to me too since i have a weakness for that. plus the suits... the suits, man, the suits!

and lucky for me, the series kept getting cooler and cooler. ;)

*i also have to highly commend the art. it's just pretty darn impressive and slick. and to think a woman drew all this!?

Like an earlier review said, this manga is complete CRACK. But it's fun, full of great characters, and the art is pretty good as well. Later on (around volume 5), it does get somewhat of plot (in story arcs) where the gang fights various other groups of mafia/assassins. The action just kicks ass.

It is very unfair to rate this manga a 1 just to bring the rating down. And I seriously doubt it deserves a 1 if it's popular enough to have been running in Weekly Jump for such a long time.

Well first all the drawing was bad at the beginning but when the story went to the simon arc... OMG
THE ART JUST BLEW ME AWAY!!! The clothes started to look good. The characters started to look BEAUTIFUL! EVEN HIBARI KYOYA! Yes I was so happy about when he was Number One at the character poll. The story at the beginning make u want to think "yeah i see this scene at many shoujo manga or romantic shounen manga" but if you keep reading it.. you will realized the manga is way different from bleach, naruto or One piece. The comedy is good!!! The funny parts make you laugh! because it always the stupidest thing that happens to the characters and you just want to laugh >.<! I just LOVE THIS MANGA

A manga you should read. The beginning is somewhat slow, but the humor at the beginning will keep you entertained. Once Tsuna starts getting his family together with the help of Reborn (that awesome baby assassin-man I bet he's going to be fine looking when he grow up...but he's so cute right now >.<)...I digress, but the point is you see this wimpy little dewb grow into a somewhat less wimpy kid... yeah he grow stronger as well-that is with the help of reborn and the Vongola Family!

Okay, so I'm one of those stubborn people who won't give up a series once they're far in. With that said, I do like Reborn, but there is one thing that irks me: Reborn is pretty much the definition of a shounen. I mean, after Tsuna and co. defeats one tough guy, there appears to be an even tougher guy following and so on.
However, the art is nice and the characters are adorable at times (and it has a nice selection of doujinshi... ;;>w>)
Nya~ I would recommend this series to someone who has patience because it is a frustrating series in the beginning.
Oh, and Reborn does kinda grow on you, so, yeah. :3

The manga kick off after vl8. It become better, with more action, rythme, intensity. If you stopped before vol 8, give the manga another chance, you probably won't regret it .
It is actually my favorite manga with Eyeshield 21. Even before naruto and the like.

this manga is the best, when vongola rings arc start I personally thinks its better than naruto, bleach

ithe story is awsome, the art is awsome, the characters are awsome

Very good manga, it was a little slow during the daily-life arc but the vongola rings arc is really good
