Description
From Storm in Heaven:
Ten years ago, there was an explosion at Hisano's apartment building. She would have been there, but she'd been hit by a bike ridden by a boy in blood-stained clothes. He dropped a fake gem when it happened, and she's been hanging on to it as a good-luck charm ever since. Now Hisano's in high school. One of her teachers was murdered, and the police are investigating. A young man suddenly appears carrying the toy the gem belonged to. And perhaps... can he also see the hallucinations Hisano has always been plagued with? Everything is connected as the pattern slowly rises ... More...

I just love the sheep!

It was the summary that intrigued me, sounded interesting enough. I underestimated it though, the story turned out to be a lot better than I expected! There were so many twists and turns and unexpected actions that... well, it really was a good story!
Plot- The plot is fairly simple. A girl runs into someone from her past, someone who may not be innocent of a crime she was involved in so the girl tries to unravel the mystery surrounding him. Simple see! But the mystery is quite intricate (and well done) and just when you think you know what happened you get a piece of information that shatters your thinking.
Characters- The character's were all right, nothing to special, they had interesting relationships though and I just couldn't help but wonder as I read who was the culprit. That completely changed my view of the characters as I myself tried to uncover who committed the crime and why.
Art- Nothing special, a little blocky at times but it was not distracting so the art served its purpose.
Other- All in all I enjoyed the story, a little fast paced maybe, but the story was very well done and ended in such a wonderful way. Only one issue,
7/10 - Really liked it

But... what's with the sheep? That wasn't explained...

Hisano's hallucinations were never explained... or why the guy (sorry... can't remember his name and I don't feel like looking it up!) could see them... but I don't care!

I love the sheep. I want one too. Or... Maybe I don't.
This was a nice manga, with a fair amount of both love, drama, mystery and some uh uh darkness (even though this is the shoujo type of darkness). Quite the combo, I must say, but it's been put together really well. I enjoyed it from start till finish. Definitely worth a read.
And oh. Did I mention that I really like the sheep?

Yep, it did capture the psychological atmosphere of the story quite well. However, the story felt kinda bland and empty at times because it seemed to center more around "beautiful art" than on filling out a plot. A pity since the plot seemed just so interesting and full of possibilities, at first.
Also, it felt a little overly dramatic at times as it seemed to rely just on shock value than on intelligence, well-crafted thoughts and actions, to justify the plot. The characters themselves were a little interesting but a pity there wasn't more to really flesh in the plot and thus, they seemed more like "very visible props used for moving the story". It was like the writer was trying too hard to go for "twisted" and "sick" or whatever terms you'd use to describe the villains, the protagonist and whatever cast was involved.
And the ending itself was quite empty and lacking, too as there was so much explored and so little actually concluded, with nary a hint for the readers. For those who want something meatier, I suggest reading C-Blossom - Case 729 instead where the writing is really good(probably because the author is different?) and is complemented by this mangaka's artwork.

A wonderful, gripping tale with a great twist at the end. The art is pretty good too. I'm only giving it an 8 cuz it's a little too dark for my taste but for ppl who like psychological stuff u shld totally read this.
A beautiful one!

Just two volumes makes this manga a must-read one. Just two volumes to drag you into the twist with all its faces: from romance to mystery and tragedy. You experience the laughs and the tears, the concern and despair. I must say this short manga is extremely well-plotted, considering it just carries all these genres smoothly. It also has a unique use of metaphor, from the hallucinating sheep to the coelacanth itself. And, one last but not least thing, the art is really gorgeous!!!
Confusing, but unique

Being that it is a mystery, it is quite different from most shoujo manga. It's not entirely confusing, since most of the time I speed read, but it does have an intricate plot line. The story ended with a good closing and the symbolism of the coelacanth and the sheep were cool. The art was satisfiable, without being overbearingly cute and fluffly. It was a good read overall.

it seems that even the fish is a symbol.... wow... this really is a great manga... being able to tie in such good art, a little shoujo for the fans, and lots of mystery. it is brilliant. It even seems that throughout the whole two volumes, there was a consistency of the plot and symbolism. I guess the title is pretty cool in itself, since a coelacanth (i looked it up in the dictionary) is a fish that was thought to be extinct, BUT IT ACTUALLY STILL EXISTED OUT OF NOWHERE... just like that hot yunagi yukinari-sama~ THE MURDERER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE NONEXISTANT CUZ IT WAS A "GAS EXPLOSION"
Great

I just finished it now and the second book's plot is very refreshing and unexpected.I appreciate Hisanos character development, but in some ways(and to be expeted in a realistic story) she is still very shoujo-ish, however, there are some slight and significant changes. And the symbolism =u= -I wish that the rating system went higher- was very consistent. This manga is deffinetly not a waste of time!
I can't wait till it is is liscensed!!!! XD

it was weird in the first 2 chapters... good in the next 2... intriguing in the next... but then nearing the end... i had somehow lost interest... it was overall quite good, but a little short i suppose, considering how rushed the ending seemed... though most loose ends were tied up... i somehow found the ending to be quite unsatisfying...

just started this manga.and its surprisingly good...even though i just started it...pretty edgy and dark..well im not sure if you could deem it as romance coz i cant see it or perhaps its too early to tell...anyway the plot seems good and the art is pleasant to the eyes..cant wait for the next chapters ^^
