only 4/5 words can express how i feel about bleach :
I LOVE THIS MANGA/ANiME
People are putt-off by this manga or anime due to the fact of the INCREDIBLE amount of Episodes and chapters ( im surprised myself) and the plot/s drag on and on and on. But these people are making a huge mistake. Bleach has its ups and downs within its plots.Anime; Begining is FANTASTic. Middle Season is msotly Like a FILLER but arund epsiode 300 (before and after) is simply "OH MY GoSH!" WOW thats completely unexpected" . The characters develop great leaps and the art is fantastic. Must Read and it will (Literaallly) Last you a life-time. Hope it never ends (i bet people are saying "hell NO!") XP

I say this because a lot of people are constantly complaining about how looooooong the series is.
After hearing, and reading, about it from a ton of other people, there really is not need to keep saying that. Yes. it is long, but get over it, and move on and read something else.
Anyways, it's very entertaining. Don't go reading Bleach if you're looking for some kind of New York Times bestseller. It's a shounen for crying out loud. It has a ton of what makes a shounen good.
Blood, fighting, action, a strong hero, Kick*** art, and so on.
A lot of people complain about how no character ever dies, and all I have to say is that you guys would complain if they died left and right. Besides, there have been quite a few deaths so far. Also, about the fact that just when someones going to die, they miraculously power up and pull out something they should've used right from the beginning, you get used to it soon enough. Do the fights go on for a long time? Yes they do, but it seems even longer when you're reading it a chapter a week. Besides, do we really want a two chapter fight?
And when it comes to the storyline, it's just amazing. I recently went back and reread everything, and I have to say that I noticed a lot of things that I missed when I just read it a chapter a week. Not only does the art get a million times better, but it also gets a bit darker. More blood and violence in the later chapters than you find in the early ones.
So if you're looking for a good shounen, read Bleach. If you're looking for something short, where good characters die, with a super sophisticated plot, short fights, and a cast that you can count on one hand, go read something else. Don't read Bleach and come and complain about how it drags, and no one dies, and blah blah blah. Don't say I didn't warn you.

one of the big three i would consider as the top shonen manga currently (naruto and one piece being the other two). having said that, i would rank it second among those three (one piece being first, since it still makes some sense, and naruto third, since it obviously forgot it's own title.) seriously, i'm just hoping the author will wrap up whatever the hell is going on in the series right now and go back to the stuff that worked in the beginning, since it was sooooo much better. and i dont mean repeating the story, i mean writing/drawing what i actually care about (i really dont care about the fight between birdman and scarface, can you just kill one of them and be done with it?)

I really like both the manga and the anime. The manga is slightly better than the anime cuz they miss parts. but over all, i think it's great. If your into action, this is something to read/watch.

Apparently instinct is the answer to why humans are better than animals. And here I thought it was because humans were capable of higher thought (a thought that occurred to me because I was capable of higher thought) but apparently I need to think more with my chaotic chemically based emotions and less with my cold calculating head.

Get real kubo. Go read a few real books and stop relying on your pheromones for answers. He's a brilliant artist and has a talent for comedy but when it comes to a slice of life I'd rather take pointers from someone who doesn't have their gut making their decisions for them.

Also I hate Kenpachi more than I've ever hated a fictional character. If you like him go ahead a lobotomize yourself. There must be something wrong with you if you like such a one dimensional loose cannon of a character. How does he get at least 10 times more powerful with no training. Its the result of negligence and poor storytelling I say!

one of the best animes out there. The amount of characters can be sort of puzzling though ^-^'' Action is good and it's regular. Characters are well developed and funny. the only character i don't quite like is Orihime. she seems kinda like a stereotypical helpless damsel in distress and waiting for a prince (ichigo) to run and save her delicateness... but there are certain times where she is a good character.
great series, hope to read more.

What are you guys talking about??! haha. bleach END? that would be HORRIBLE.

you guys are too whiney >_<... kubodite wanted to make a shounen manga not a shoujou manga >_> of course there wont be as much character developement as a shoujou. but you can see a LOT of character development for ichigo and little bit of character development for the people around him... >_<

i really like this manga, it kind of slows sometimes, but it all ends up great, the plot is great, the story and characters all show both hilarity and seriousness at the best moments, but its dragged down by the first volume, its just the same thing repeated over and over, it only gets good after the halfway point of the 'Soul Society' arc (when they try to rescue Rukia) but i keep reading because i cant wait to see the ending, and im sure it will be great!!

Greatest manga ever.
