From Storm in Heaven:
Karasu is an angel of the class Powers; Shirasagi is a demon, a Marquis. One day Karasu is assigned to convince Shirasagi to return to Hell. However, Shirasagi doesn't act like a demon at all -- not only is he a priest, but he's forsworn the use of his demonic powers, and wishes nothing more than to live his life as a human. But the Archduke of Hell also has his eyes set on Shirasagi, and Karasu's own deviant behavior soon throws him out of God's favor. Will the pair be able to overcome the restrictions and laws of being an angel and a demon and live their lives freely?... More...

Ah, I can't believe I waited so long to read this one, it's excellent! The art on it's own would be beautiful, but in a story like this it is a work of art. I'm used to BL manga that are short on story and character development, but this is a far cry from those. Not only is it a great love story, but it's got symbolism, and a good number of allusions to classic western works as well. It's also nice to see that though the main two characters are given plenty of time, the side characters get their chance to shine as well. I'd recommend this to any fan of the genre.
Beautiful love story!

This has 3 good romance stories in it but the main one is the best. One of the more better written yaoi stories you will find, because it has a great plot, romance and the only sex in it came at the end. I definitely recommend this story to yaoi lovers that enjoy a really good story and a heart touching romance.

It's sad to see that some of us just can't get past the superficial aspects of the story, and can't truly enjoy the whole new perpective it gives on such a philosophical issue such as religion and a dozen of other existential problems.
It's dissapointing to see some whining cause it wasn't pretty enough, or it wasn't more explicit.
It was wounderful, beautiful in every way ...
You don't stumble everyday upon a shounen-ai mangaka that actually gives it's characters complex personalities, showing human nature with all it's beauty and flaws ... the need to find a purpose for existing, questioning rules and barriers set by society ,the craving for power ... and the fact that she pictured the greatest treason of them all as being an act of selfish love just blew my mind.

Incredible.
I was deeply moved by all the characters - even two of the secondary characters. The main couple had some of the most touching, moving scenes I have ever read and viewed in my history of manga/story/art experiencing.
The story line was complex and had great twists and turns. (The bird and the 'guide'!!! Who would have guessed! But it made perfect sense. . .)
And I love the curly hair on Kosaru!
I read each volume a couple of times before going on to the next. . . and then i went back again.

Ah, it was really good and interesting. Well, yes, it WAS quite sad, too, but I like to read sad things XD
Last few chapters were strange and confusing, I thing. Especially the end. I was suprised with taht thing with Koumori, too... XD
Oh, and I have to mantion taht art was pretty good and I really loved it <3
Although the plot was sometimes strange and confusing it's really worth reading <3

I can completely understand why most people would find the plot amazing, however, it just wasn't quite my taste. I thought the whole idea was rather gloomy and dark. Everything is almost always negative until the last pages of manga which i must add- isn't that happy either. Morever, the manga was really confusing until the last chapter where most questions were answer but some were still not.
Personally, i prefer manga that would make me happy. I guess the plot might have been a little too deep for me since i would very much rather read something light-hearted from, say, minase or yamato.
All the negative comments aside, i could not stop reading the book. The plot was capitivating and mainly it was also because the book made me feel really sad and i want to stop at a happy point in the book (which happened to be the ending that i didn't really like either).
I think this manga is very unique and is worth the time reading.

Nothing i can say has not already been said, while reading this manga you will actually question yourself or religion without even noticing. It's pretty intense and good story. Do not expect any real "yaoi" scenes this is certainly shounen ai but it is beautiful, particularly the art and the relationships will sometimes make you want to cry for both angels and demons.

Possible spoilers..
It was nice at the beginig, but the last volume totaly blew be away..
The fight in chapter 11 was so amazing and sad that it made me cry..
How it the final chapter was heart pounding, I just can't describe it with words..
Now to the other stuff-
Is it really should be put as yaoi? only showed a non-explicit scene..
The art wasn't so good compared to the mangaka's other works like "brother x brother", it was rougher.. but good..
Because of the flaws (and there are a few), I can't give "Innocent Bird" a 10
And, why isn't there a "drama" in the genre area? it was definetly dramatic..
Edit- well, it's nice that somebody takes into acount what we write here
the yaoi and drama were changed^^
Thanks for the updates!^^
