A bit of love, lots of psychological and sporadic intense action YE!AH!

the bits of love (and scenes) where pint point missile gide action is d acurate mature love, this i liked a lot

The action is sometimes gore like realistic, intense and short, great mental fights

The art just GGGGGGGGGRRRRREAT the menta ilusions superb!! what a great imaginaiton of the mangaka.

The story very complex and u have to think a lot, love how the mangaka digs on hte scharactercs minds and u find out why they are who they are.

The ending, just magnificent, a great way to close a wonderfull story

I didnt give it a 10 because of a bit pull-push excess at the ending but for th rest MARVELOUS STORY MUST READ!

A brilliant story that would otherwise rate a 9 for me, except for the really cliched ending. In fact, I think it's right at the top of my list of "most disappointing endings" in a manga. (-_-)

This is an excellent manga. It is intelligently written and with just the right amount of romance and emotional impact. The characters are great. I give this one a 10.

Great psychological drama!

The story is very good! The beginning might be missguiding you though, considering there isn't as much supernatural stuff later in the series as in the beginning. It becomes more a psychological drama. But hey, that what it is supposed to be!

An opinion of the 8 volumes so far...

This manga it's really good, the story it's really strong and full of complexity, you can manage the reading according to your own way of thinking. What's right and wrong acccording to your concepts, moral and values? That's the hiting point of the plot, the right and wrong, the consequences off your own actions, the society line betwenn the right and wrong and the inner thoughts of the human brain (and the brain mysteries itself), if you want a tired of the usual softh or similar mangas (sporty, romantic, etc.) you must read this manga that goes right down to the issue of morals, murder, concience, science, technology, love, society, etc. Read Eternal Sabbath... you will really enjoy it.

I feel so sad with the end! OMG WHYYY? (>__<)

if u dont like sad endings dont read this manga!
but if u dont mind a bittersweet (mostly bitter) ending then go ahead and read this... It wuz pretty engaging...

Amazing! But...

The plot is amazing. I thought "wow, here goes Souryo-sensei again." I have always had a thing for psychological stuff, so this was really interesting from start to finish. I really loved the scientific-babbles that Mine says whenever she's lost in herself. Heh.
However, I really felt like it was rushed somehow. I was hoping it would run for another 100 chapters before it ends... TO BE HONEST! I just had dreams about it... It kept haunting me even in my dreams...THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE!
From the moment I slept, I even said to myself, "haha, I wouldn't mind having nightmares about this story..." and what do you know, I dreamt about it and even woke up in the middle of the night and was still thinking about it. It left that much of an impression that even as I woke up this morning, I was still thinking of it and thought it was best to write down what the ideas were.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I was really sad about that ending... I was hoping Shuro and Mine were to have a happy ending too... But...life is cruel for the both of them, it would seem.
But I thought, "what would happen to the child now? Will it have ES powers just like he did?"
In my dreams and my thoughts, if Mine had a son she would most likely name it after Shuro's "Ryousuke." If it was female, she'd name her "Yuri," as that was one of the little girls she's come to be close with in the story, and she would most likely want for her to live on and be her daughter since she might have been guilty she wasn't able to save her.
On the other part... what if Tomoya's mother was pregnant too? (Since she was raped by Izaku in Shuro's body) You all probably never thought about it...but that was one of the ideas that kept me haunting me in my sleep last night.
If so, there's a possibility the child might have an ES power too. And for the woman, being traumatized with the death of her husband, or she might suddenly wonder she was pregnant if her husband (theoretically) haven't been touching her - and it will be the cause of how the new generation ES-child will grow up. If Mine's child were to have a happy life, Izaku's (Shuro's body) spawn might have a rocky childhood and would lead to yet ANOTHER ES problem for Sakaki and Mine. Not to mention if she happens to see the child and it might look exactly like Izaku... And the children were opposite gender, it might become a romance... YES, even if they are siblings. Incest...I'm not even fond of it (as I have siblings of my own, and would never dare touch the subject) but it is quite plausible they would be drawn to each other. Mine's child would most likely sympathize to Izaku's spawn, and things will go out of hand from there.

Anyways...that's how far my dreams/ideas have got me. /shrug.
It would be nice if my idea could become the sequel...but that's just my wishful thinking.

Anyways...in terms of plot, I'd give it a perfect 5. The ending kept bothering me to not give it a perfect score so a 4 & a-half/5. The art is exceptional...as it is seinen so it's prefect for the story. So I'm giving it 5 too, being that it's detailed the way it should be for this kind of plot.

Even though I enjoyed this story, it, kind of, wasn't enough. Well, it wasn't too melodramatic, gotta thank for that. But I feel like magaka should've kept rythm of the story as it was, and didn't hurry to end it all in the last volume. I don't know, I 'm not a writer, but cooking up the story took time, and everything had to end in a blink of an eye?
Good manga, but I don't think I'll be interested in reading it again.

In my opinion this manga could turn into a movie. It has a unique plot that just grabs you in. It also has plenty of psychology which makes you understand the characters more. As for the ending, it shocked me. I know it may be a cliche to some, but I never read another manga that has an ending like that. Overall, people should read it.
