Really good after the first couple chapters

I started reading this with low expectations (yet, with hopes that I would find another addicting series like Shingeki no Kyojin). The first couple chapters bored me(the art style didn't help either), but after getting into the 2F chapters, I became interested in the plot. Similarly, the characters didn't interest me at first (in fact, there were too many for me to remember). However, with time, I actually grew to like many of the characters.

I love the subtle foreshadowing, the plot twists, and how the story slowly connects.
The art in Part 1, imo, is lacking (more so in the beginning), but in Part 2, the art is actually quite pretty. A great improvement from Part 1.

Overall, I highly recommend this series.

[Edit: Sad to say that I'm dropping this series. Starting around the workshop arc, everything feels dragged out and with the introduction of even more characters (that feel like they should be important but they feel quite flat) divides the screentime of the old cast. Not to mention, it's hard to keep track of all the new characters (or find the motivation to).

This is by far one of my favorite reads of all time. It has great characters, great story, and amazing art that gets better and better as the series goes on. It does have a few slow points in season 2, which i personally enjoyed, but I understand some people were not so big on it. If you dont like it to much just power through it, the story gets SOOO good after you will enjoy it for sure.

A marvelous webtoon

Many people are saying here and there that season 2 has ruined the whole story. Many battles are long, which may make readers feel exhausted to follow. However, the story is great, and the characters do develop through the progress of the story. The author actually knows exactly where the story is going, only that its complication can sometimes confuse readers.
Not to say, the art in season 2 got SO much better than season 1. 10/10

This series is going to progress to be a masterpiece and if (more like when) there is an anime of it it will be a classic and one of the most popular of this generation (think Lelouch, Death Note). It's a VERY good story and the characters are VERY well developed and the author is very good at building the story at the correct pace where the story doesn't get spoiled, the world is very vast, but waiting for the ending is just excruciating even though it is so far. If this gets published into paper and sold, I will DEFINITELY buy it. The art is excellent, I'd give it a 11/10 if I could. You are a fool if you don't start reading this NOW

Evolves and still have more potential

Considering how vast TOG world is, there's so much possibilities and potential for this webtoon. We have only read up to Floor #30, there's still 70 more floors left and yet so many mysteries still unsolved and some many conflicts to put a end to. Well.. I'm going to make a comparison to HxH.. in HxH, Gon & Killua had to clear that tower.. they simply had to clear it, there weren't much other conflicts involving in that.... the ultimate goal for both of them was to get stronger and pass that tower. For TOG it is different, there's so many goals and conflicts in that one 100 floors tower that it'll take a while for this webtoon to end, there's just too much questions left to be answered. TOG's tower is much more serious and realistic than HxH's tower. Climbing up the tower in TOG can be compared to climbing the social ranking tower in real life. Some people thinks that becoming billionaires and millionaires will make them happy. Some that climbed up the ranks forgot their ultimate goal in life because they have changed. Many aspects of TOG can be related to. At first TOG is kind of slow but yet interesting as you keep on going. This story is the type of novel that builds up and eventually grows on to you to a point that you can't wait for the next chapter. I'm a really patience person, I tend to forget that I was waiting for a chapter to come out after 2-3 days of reading the recent chapter. even if it was super exciting example: Skip beat recent chapters (omg Ren x Kyoko actions finally after so long..)... but TOG.. there are just some chapters that I can't wait to come.. chapter 50 Season 2, I'm eagerly waiting for that chapter! Eventually when you reread TOG, you'll feel so many new things and reasons/foreshadowing that the author has thrown in that you didn't notice until you reread it. I have to admit that SUI introduces so many characters that I sometimes forget who is who.. especially if I haven't reread the webtoon in like 6 months or so. His characters are really well developed but yet some has less show time than others so you couldn't remember some of those characters but they might appear again, for example that Ahjumma in Season 1; I couldn't remember her name.. ahh.. I'm blabbering too much.. there's just too much I can say about this webtoon cause it's just that EPIC & awesome.. I'll stop here with "READ IT!"

This is like a super epic fantasy tale, in web comic form. It starts slowly, but if you keep up and read the first season, you'll be absolutely THRILLED to read more. This comic has tens of thousands of views weekly and is the #1 rated webcomic as of now. Give it a shot and you'll probably like it.

Edit: "very overrated"? I've read hundreds of manga these past months, and I've yet to come towards anything that comes close. I might be biased, but I believe it's well worth its praise.. just don't weigh too much down on the art, it's a web toon after all. Maybe that's what makes it amazing: it's a webtoon, yet its universe and characters are insanely profound for the medium.

TL;DR: so far Tower of God hasn't disappointed. At the very least, it's an entertaining and unique read.
HIGHLY recommended.

Love it so far. This manhwa is very intriguing and once I started it, I couldn't stop. The characters are very diverse and I enjoyed reading about this other reality. In my opinion, there was a perfect balance between the hints given and the mysteries in the manhwa. I like the artwork; it's simple, cute, and creative. I hope to learn more about this alternate dimension and Baam as I continue to read.

Pure Unadulterated Excellence

In the action category it is easily in my top ten. Subtle story telling that creates its own universe with many twists and turns, story telling that doesn't seem "rushed" with proper build up and anticipation. Characters that are interesting and mysterious, loud and boisterous, and with their owns special skills and abilities. I really like the art work, interesting angles and you can tell the author put a lot of thought into it.

Easily 10/10 a must read.

Brilliant in some places, with a few weaker spots

I started reading Tower of God back when the Company translated the first chapters in english, and I was hooked from the very first chapter. It felt interesting. Original. The characters were intriguing, the setting mysterious, the art colorful and the pace nice and swift. The plot was simple but fun to read, and gradually grew more complex as things moved on.

Season one starts good and only gets better from there. Season two starts a little wonky, but makes up for it with two of the most amazing arcs I've ever seen in graphic form. Up until the start of the "Workshop battle" arc, this was probably my favorite ongoing manga/manhwa to read.

At around that point, however, problems started to show up. For one thing, the author apparently got a hand injury, which resulted in the art becoming less detailed in places and the pacing drastically slowing down. I actually took a break from it for a while at one point, since things were advancing at a crawl that was rather unsatisfied to read from week to week.

That said, it's since recovered from its rough patch and is rising to match and perhaps even exceed its original story, as the plot opens up and events begin to escalate to an epic scale.

Overall, an excellent story to enjoy, filled with twists and mysteries and intense battles. Doesn't quite earn a perfect 10 due to the aforementioned rough spots, but still very much worth reading!

The first couple of chapters were pretty unimpressive, but it gets pretty addicting quite quickly.

It's really nice when a manhwa can surprise a seasoned reader such as myself, hahaha.
