This manga is pretty good, but not Awesome.
Most of the character designs are just too similar and bland, but the fanservice is very well executed.
Story is also good but nothing that keeps going in your head till you read the next chapter/volume.
Definitely check it out if you're into the genre. But I like reading other series better.

This manga, especially the MC, made me realize how much I hate that kind of MC, where he's extremely insecure and doesn't know how to stand up for himself, not even having the courage to do the bare minimum. The beginning of the relationship takes a long time because of his constant indecision. It was from here that I began to hate this type of MC and prioritize those who are intelligent and have attitude.
I had a big smile on my face but not before going through all that "at the edge" moments. I agree with eNviS, I mean what the &*%^!!! If that chapter 80 doesnt come, I will seriously kick my laptop.. I gave 8.5, because I am neither nine-ing or eight-ing this manga (this author left me undecided).
Hmmm.. the charater changed.. I mean, Yuu's personality changed. gah!!.. i'm getting irritated with the author..

well confession finally occurs V14
so... hey, maybe give it a shot? Typical series but the comments are kind of unfair, a lot of romance series drags out a few volumes, tad harsh to hit it just for that.
It's good but too slow, i hope waiting would bring something good because if it doesn't my rate for this manga will fall to 6.
pastel seems to be widly similar to parallel, which of course was the same mangaka.. pastel seems to be the longer version of parallel or it could be the parallel is the short version of pastel.. but all in all pastel is a great series i like this, althou if you hate harems, this isnt one to read
This is a great Manga since the pacing is very toned down and the story goes down easy like a mid summer's lemonade. And yes it helps that the female lead is a total hottie. I mean it's not like any sucessful shows here doesn't feature knockout female leads...ie: boy meets world, the OC, saved by the bell, etc.
A typical Shounen Romance manga. If you've read some manga in the same genre, you're not going to be in for any surprises with Pastel.
Classic plot involving a ever-forgiving female lead and a rather clumsy male protagonist. The story is realistic, but only to a point. The frequent use of Deus ex Machina and coincidental events results in a more or less predictable story. The male character makes a mistake, and fearing that he has upset the female lead, he seeks to redeem himself in various ways. He is ultimately forgiven at the end by the female lead. The cycle repeats itself again and again.
Then again, if you like underaged teenage girls with ridiculously large breasts, you should most definitely give Pastel a try.

I love Kobayashi Toshihiko works, so far also read Parallel (complete).
I prefer hers compared to Mizuki Kawashita (Ichigo 100%, Lilim's Kiss, Akane Chan Overdrive) & Kaoru Kawakata (Open Sesame, First Love Kiss) which is in the same genre.( Of coz I still like all of them )
but her works have the best artwork, most realistic story, most natural echiness, most acceptable main character & best enjoyment.
For prevert guys like me. Maybe girls can try (just so that U know more about ur pervert boyfriend)
