I have to say I was about to give up, I was at my limit. This manga started out really annoying, with a crappy plot and not that funny, but my friends kept pushing me to read more, and lemme tell you, it was sooo worth it, after chapter 60 something the manga gets really really good, the plot starts to get deeper and the action just doesn't stop, now is one of my "can't wait to read" series, together with one piece, negima , naruto and kenichi, and it keeps getting better.,

This manga starts off really badly (boring, unoriginal, plotless, etc) but gets much much better. My advice is to start reading this manga at chapter 62. That's when the action starts to pick up. I guess you could read the first 5 or so chapters to find out who the main characters are, but then you really should skip straight to 62. My rating for this series is based on everything that happens from chapter 62 onwards. If you just disregard the first 61 chapters, this manga is easily one of the most exciting shonen manga out there.

this one is definitely one hell of an annoying series. i just read 30 chapters and found out that if i want to read a decent plot i need to read another 40 chapters of long-boring-one shots!! wtf!!
yea, i sometimes found some funny moment, but man going over 70 chapters just to find a decent plot is pain in the butt!!
i'll continue reading if i don't have nothing to read. *sigh

At first it was difficult to continue reading the manga, let alone watching the anime.
But if you hang in there long enough you get a awesome plot, nice art and hilarious lovable characters.

Bit disappointing many would drop the series on the spot.
Can you believe that the no-good Tsuna that we all know who couldn't confess to Kyoko can go so far for his friends?

You have to be on something to read this manga for so long. Manga that have lasted 2 volumes did more, were more interest, and where just an overall better read then this. Spoiler: The ending will be the biggest let down. I can tell you that now because this manga is what it is... a 'let down'. I put up with the damn near 80 chapters up reptitiveness(lol) just like everyone else before the mangas' story picked up. Then I was into it, patiently waiting every chapter. Then they traveled to the future... ok. All the long I was hoping the mangaka would smarten up a bit and fix his main characters character. Excuse my language but the main character himself is a flat out pussy and I thought he would have toughened up a bit as the story went on, I was wrong. Even in Eyeshield 21 the protagonist became a much more likable and respectful character when before he was a wimp, then he became the guy you rooted for to win. Thats what I thought would happen here. No... Tsuna is still the one guy you just cant stand to look at, let alone read for 290 chapters. He had moments where you thought "Yes! Kick his ass Tsuna!" but then the following 20 chapters after you are like "Ugh! I wish I could kick Tsuna's ass..." I mean, be honest... how many times did you guys want to slap that silly I-get-startled-and-scared-over-everything look on Tsuna face. EVERY CHAPTER he has that wimpy ass expression, especially in the first 8 volumes before the plot picked up. So annoying and a disappointment that he is the male lead of what is a awesome battle manga...when they are in actual battles...

Thats just talking about the main protagonist. Then you have the heroine and supporting cast with their constant smiles and rare seriousness and dumbfounded looks almost all the time. Only Reborn is a respectable character. He's the only reason I kept reading, because he was the only one who wasnt a scaredy-wimpy-failure lead male, or a i-dont-know-whats-going-on-but-i'm-gonna-smile-anyway heroine, or a i'm-in-love-with-tsuna-even-though-i'm-a-guy-and-he's-a-guy, or a gotta-stay-optimistic-because-its-all-just-fun-and-games-all-the-time, or a EXTREME!, or a just-to-give-this-wimp-a-harem-lets-add-another-female-character-even-though-they-wont- end-up-together-in-the-end-lol, or a... oh? You got the picture? My fault. Just the manga could have been a bit better if over time, like other manga have, slight changes in characters personalities were changed. Tsuna could be a bit tougher like Rikuo (Nurarihyon no Mago) and Sena(Eyeshield 21) and many other wimpy male leads became over time and tough battles they faced in their battle manga. I'll pick this up from where i left off which probably wont happen for another 100 or so chapters, or if I find out that Tsuna grows a pair.

It's a good story, with pretty tight weapons (the flame attributes are just...too amazing for words), okay art, and an overall enjoyable read.

I personally barely read the manga--I just went to the anime. So I don't really know much, but the plot kinda...I don't know, it was kinda unrealistic at times. I mean, the whole future arc thing was pretty pointless (though it did introduce a few intersting characters!). And, some of the things weren't that easy to follow.

If you have time, read it. It is pretty good, after all. But if you want something you'll absolutely worship forever, I wouldn't really recommend this one.

At first I thought this was going to be like those neverending-long-a.ss-manga but then I continued reading and it really got me interested. There are so many humorous characters that actually made me lough out loud. Well I don't know how to judge the plot and all but I LOVE those in-your-face moments they make me go like WHOAA! yea .. anyways! at first it might be a little draggy but as the story progress it gets better.!!

This was really really good until the time travel arc which was just stupid and completely turns away from what this manga is about, a kid learning how to be a mafia boss. Also it introduced boxes, I mean WTH!?

Yamamoto thinking it's just a game for so long after being in numerous fights is also, though funny at first, nonsensical.

The story before that arc is great though, so if you can manage to prevent yourself from continuing to read once you reach that, go ahead.

I've pretty much dropped this manga. Might come back to it in a year or 6 if i want a typical shounen.
