Aren't people that have >160 of IQ considered geniuses? That's cool!!

Wasn't it above 140? Anyways, an IQ test cannot encompass the human mind/intelligence.

True. What IQ tests measure best is an individual's ability to do well on an IQ test~

Yep. That's why I said IQ was old school.
70's = IQ Theory
80's = Emotional Intelligence Theory.
90's = Multiple Intelligences Theory.
I don't remember the name of the one that is hip right now. But it was something about the correlation and interconnection of certain patters of multiple intelligences for certain independent personalities.

Well my IQ was at least 128 when I was in first grade, since that was a requirement to get into the gifted program at my elementary school. However I have absolutely no clue how much above 128 it is, though Im not a genius so Im pretty sure its above 160 or so.
Either way most IQ tests only test a limited portion of your IQ, even the ones that are professionally administered. There are some aspects of intelligence like intuitiveness, and creativity, that a paper and pencil test cant score you on.
I guess I would say 131-145 range though, since most likely I didnt score that much above 128 on that test.
The Stanford-Binet style of IQ test really only measure your ability to use language and more concrete reasoning skills (math and science). Both of which are very important, especially when it comes to academics and success in school, though academic ability is far from a measure of success, you need enough to get through college for the most part, but if you can get through college, the important thing becomes creativity and intuition.
Also, the Stanford-Binet IQ test is only going to be accurate if your culture/upbringing reflects a large number of aspects found in middle class American culture, if it doesnt then it will probably be off by about 10-15 points, also if your first language isnt in the language of the test, that can also throw off the results a bit too.

the international accepted genius score is 140, and IQ is based on how ur brain processes information VS ur age. if u haven't been doing anything ur whole entire life ur IQ's gonna be low cuz ur neuron's would die out. so YES it is the measurement of ur intelligence. doesn't have to be a written test go do some puzzles or somin. as for the guys who claiming 165 and all dat, go contact MIT or Harvard, they'd open their doors to u for free....that is...if its rele that high.

There are many different kinds of intelligence. Language, physical, logical, emotional, social, artistic ++ IQ is measured in the logical sense, but if you compare every intelligence on every human we would be pretty equal. I know I'm good at the logical sh*t being good in math and physics, so I'm guessing I'm at least over 120.
My 2nd (or 1st) int. is artistic/musical. Keep in mind that good in something makes you stupid in another way.

High enough to be a mensa member (which i am),
But no exact value, as the test i took was only accurate for the 130 threshold, and i was enough over it to make the error-bars to big.
Dont trust those web-test. They are shit and only made to make people feel good.
I got values over 160 in tests that also had a lot of english language questions, although my english knowledge is far from a natve speakers.
A real, multi-hour test under observation by a psychologist is an entirely different beast.

yeah i know those test aren´t accurate and not too good, i know i´m a normal guy when it comes to intelligence. Still, Intelligence is quite a vague term to be measured only by IQ tests centered in logical-mathematical terms (i guess that is the more important factor in IQ tests, still i don´t know). I think it´s just a derivative of human impulse on giving a measure to everything (even if it isn´t exactly measurably). Still, it does have utility if not it wouldn´t be used.
