Ok, so I didn't think it'd get picked up again and finished with so quickly, but anyways, what do you guys think of the ending? I think it was a bit abrupt, sort of anti-climatic, but it was a good one.

It probably was the best you could get out of it since it ended so early.
I kinda suspect that it hit the mangaka somehow unexpected so that she had to end it in one or two chapters, because in chapte 6 I had the impression that the Cassandra mask arc would last much much longer.
Of course I'm somewhat disappointed,
I wanted to see the romance between the protagonists develop ;(

It started out so unbelievably strong that I was instantly hooked and believed this would turn out to be a very memorable manga. It's just too bad it ended so early, if anything she only needed one more volume to create a great manga with a decent end.

I agree that it was probably the best for what she had to work with.

well, i just read the last three chapters after quite a long break and I like the ending. It's conclusive and as far as I know everything has been resolved.

Personally, I thought it was a bit... weak? I would've liked to see what Banjou's last prophacy was supposed to be, and how they were going to break it. As well as a little info on the aftermath of the Mask Arc.
Otherwise, it was a pretty good shounen manga with a rather original twist, something I think is a little hard to find these day.

I feel that this was a perfect ending to what is a short-run manga. Especially with the constant fast pace of leaving out elements of fillers. Had this been a longer serialization then yeah, this would've been bad. But I really like it for what it is. Though I would have enjoyed a better last page (drawing Banjou out, even at that distance, instead of a silhouette). Great story, awesome art, short lived. It's like chicken without the meat but hella tasty bones.

I like the ending, but doesn't anyone else want to know if Banjou dies or not? I mean he says that his death occurs when he's 20 under the blossom of the sakura trees. The last page is of a birthday picnic under the blossom of sakura trees. In addition, Bekku and Chiasa both say that it is the day that Banjou's last prophecy ends.

I doubt Banjou would be going anywhere near Cherry Blossoms on that day if he thought he would die that day. And wasn't the whole deal with them getting prophecies because the mask was causing them. So the girl will stop seeing visions, the guy's tape recorder will stop getting info, and the last picture prophecy will not come true.

I thought the ending was good enough.. I mean.. The Mangaka could've done much worse..

The mangaka did a good ending but it was kinda weak like what CatzCradle said. I was expecting the protagonists to have a good relationship and be all lovey dovey and stuff like you see in shojo mangas. And you cant really see Banjou in the end. He is just like a shadow.

As far as an ending goes, it was conclusive but still left it open ended for you to decide Banjous fate. Which is good. I agree that the ending was a bit abrupt. I guess I was hoping to see more of their life returning to normal and more of the after relations.

At the time I was rather disappointed in the ending, it took some dwelling to finally accept it.

Yeah, that was my only grief with the last page and how it was tied up. I wanted just a bit more in that final scene.

Overall a good series, could have used a few more chapters to increase intrest in characters. Drawings where good, and I like the overall plot (reminded me of mirai nikki). The ending was good, though a bit too fast paced for my taste. Still, it was a source of enjoyment.

Read it in one sitting and loved it. It wasn't drawn out and exaggerated as many shounen manga is these days. The arcs were fast paced and had my attention through out. I also like the art a lot and even the action scenes were good (although I think the mangaka implied he wasn't good at drawing them).

The ending was a bit abrupt and I agree the Cassandra arc could have been a bit longer but overall, I think it wrapped up nicely. And the last page is really something to dwell upon. A poster above mentioned the sakura trees in the final frame. And it really does seem that all the elements of the final prediction are there. So it is up to the readers to decide if Banjou survives it or not. Especially with the silhouette of Banjou, you can't guess if he has a happy carefree or determined expression. I think he would be quite determined at the end, facing the last prediction that he's going to break. And that's how I interpret it.
