Two people, who are not initially in a romantic relationship, finally get together because of a child or children. They should not be a couple to begin with, but they should fall for each other whilst child-raising OR because a child deliberately sets them up OR a child accidentally facilitates their meeting.

Basically, they would not have fallen in love if it weren't for the child. In the end, they should both end up raising the child together.

Example 1: Josei. The Trapp Family Story (anime) based on The Sound of Music. A young nun ends up falling for the master of the house whose children she becomes a governess for. DELICIOUSLY slow development, possibly the most perfect romantic anime of all time. Get the subs from Live Evil (Google it - not sure if I'm allowed to share further details here).

Example 2: Shoujo. Boku Wa Ne. A man and his college kouhai raise his children together after the wife dies. I guess it's arguable whether they actually "fall for each other," but things sure seem to be heading that way! Well, okay, maybe just in the subtext. But it's pretty heavy subtext. O_O;

Example 3: Yaoi. The "Oboreru Kankei" oneshot from Yokubou Shounen. A guy babysits his male neighbor's kids, then gets romantically involved with the father.

Any genre is ok: Shoujo seinen BL yuri.

usagi drop its not exactly a prominent romance and its nothing serious as of yet, but theres a bit of romantic subtext between the guy and the single mom of the kid who is friends with rin. Though it could just be comradery between single people taking care of kids.

Orange Yane No Chiisana Iewoot romance is a brewin! its not exactly *because* of the kids, but the 2 youngest kids want their respective parents to get together and even have a hand at playing matchmaker.

Also, I've read a number of yaoi where the connection between the 2 begin with kids. I'll have to look a bit to find them though.
