Basically something like Bird Kiss except I want the character too miss out on the nice guy or girl they could have had. I want them to feel regret but I dont want them to be able to get them back.

Skip Beat! could turn out like this but its not over yet and I get the feeling it wont so dont mention it. Sho's type always gets the girl. Its like shoujo law or something.

For once I want that kind of character, the Sho or Miyoul, to lose their chance completely and have to deal with the reality of it. I dont think I've ever read a series where the character who basically uses and dumps the sickenly sweet character who loves them DOESNT get them back.

Uwasa no Midori whatever doesnt count because

I dont care if its shoujo, josei, shounen, seinen, yaoi, or yuri.

Well for the character that could've had a really nice guy...
Goong : She probably regrets it a little...but they're definitely not going to be together.
Kimi ga Suki : She lost her chance. Though I'm not sure if they'll get back together, too early to tell.
