yeah, so im just looking for authors that draw both shoujo and seinen/shounen, because i think their writing would be well rounded, without girls going "kyaaa!!" over the hot bishie boy all the time...*cough cough like every shoujo i've read cough*

i know about CLAMP but i really really hate them with a burning passion. first of all, chobits.while a okay read, i think that guys don't think about boob sizes and panties every minute of the day. also, their art makes me feel sick. and im not even sure how their series are seinen. just look at the peoples clothes. and the storylines.

eh...if there's another topic about this then i didn't find it.

im not looking for shoujo-like seinen or vice versa. im looking for authors who do both. thanks smile

ah crap...posted in wrong place. sorry mods, can you move this?

Hagio Moto, she's a genius that creates masterpieces across demographics.

Same goes for Tezuka Osamu... Primarily a shounen/seinen artist but has also worked in shoujo.

Read that Adachi Mitsuru is successful at all three.

Watase Yuu is working on her first shounen series right now. She's always done shoujo but said once that what she really wanted to write was shounen manga. Anywho, the series is Arata Kangatari and I'm liking it a lot. It's very shounen in its approach to characterization and plot development, but it has all of the good humor and focus on relationships that make her shoujo so great. Her female characters are excellent, too. I adore Oribe Imina more than I like many shoujo manga heroines. Who'da thought?

(On Clamp: I agree, Chobits was composed entirely of Stupid. Kobato isn't much better, Angelic Layer was ho-hum, xxxHolics and Tsubasa are disappointing. But Clamp's shoujo manga is actually quite good. Get yourself some X or Gohou Drug. They do the body good.)

Uhh...for seinen/shoujo, I guess Yumeka Sumomo/Sahara Mizu (same person, just so you know) would work.
And another shoujo/seinen is SOURYO Fuyumi.

There's SAITOU Misaki - but she does seinen and josei, not shoujo. The same goes for Naked Ape / SAKI Otoh and IWAOKA Hisae
SOURYO Fuyumi
ITSUKI Natsumi
NANAMI Shingo
MASHIBA Shin
UEDA Shinsyu
CHRONO Nanae
