I just finished reading Densha Otoko - Net Hatsu, Kakueki Teisha no Love Story. I had planned to read it a long while ago but never got around to it for whatever reason. Anyway it was so good. I'd like something a little similar and w/ adult characters.

Plz avoid:
-love triangles that take over the whole story
-bitchy or jerky main characters
-high school setting

Hmmm... Cousin? It's a josei, though. It's about a girl who has just graduated high school, and she's always been quite low in confidence but she works to change herself over time.

^Josei is ok. I just read some of Cousin. It's pretty good. I like how the main character isn't so perfect and how its not so easy for her.

You know, if you can overlook the high-school setting part (because the story doesn't focus on the school-life aspect at all), Chihayafuru is really good, and fits all your other requirements.

Hachimitsu to Clover iirc from the anime with all the adolescence stuff
Kanojo wa Kannou Shousetsuka in a way
black lagoon rock somewhat
solanin?

they're not really similar to densha otoko but kinda fit the low confidence premise

Thanks guys. I'll be looking through some of these..later after I get some sleep. :] Some of these don't seem to be too similar but I'm still interested in checking them out anyway.
