I'm looking for manga with acharacter that is quiet, strong, with a big intimidating build that causes other people fear them. However, this person's personality is kind, shy, and is awkward.

The character can be male or female, I'd like there to be some romance, and the love interest has to fall in love after learning the character's true nature.

Angel Densetsu is the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of a intimidating person with a very shy personality. Though I can't recall what kind of romance-plot it has.

Now I am thinking a bit further, I recall the series "Toradora" two persons that are feared for their looks or image. And both aren't the bad guys people think they are. Together they will help each other to pursue their love interest.

Beast Master about a girl that is the only one to approach the very silent but fearsome new transfer student, which turns out to be so shy it is... cute!

I've already read all 3 of those. Also, the physically big (tall and buff) is kind of a requirement, Its not absolutely necessary but its preferred. Like Shinjo from rookies. Hes big, buff, intimidating and violent but, hes just pretty much afraid of being alone etc.

Hmm. The contradiction of intimidating looks and shy personality is something you mostly will find in shounen or shoujo. Too bad I'm more into seinen or josei. Have you tried other websites with the same question, or tried their recommendation function? I search mangaupdates.com as well as myanimelist.net.
