The manga I'm searching for a name to centers it's plot around a female police-officer, who early in the manga gets transferred to a department run by a genius, "Sherlock Holmes" type of character. (And just about as socially likable as Holmes as well. He hides in a basement of a great mansion.)
This department mainly consist of these two, with some help of some other sidekicks. The story spans over a few arcs, I think I might have gotten started on the second arc. There is also some focus in the series towards her and her fiance's meetings and life with eachother, well, what's little is left of it as she has to run of just about every time they make any plans.
It might have been in the first or the second arc that one of the victims or indeed the perpetrator may have been a clown..
