This is actually an anime trailer I saw, and I don't remeber what the title is called or anything except that girls are no longer around, and they are on a planet/moon? In which their are bad leaders, kind of like a dystopia. And the main guy is going after the leaders, because they punished him (Killed his lover?) even though he may have been high up at one time or another


PLEASE! If this sounds familiar at all, write down the title!

Ok, it seems I have remembered new things about this anime. The guy is in love with this girl, but their love is disapproved of? So the male gets genetically modified into having powers of some sort by certain medical scientists against his will/ or while he's unconscious. So he is kinda robotic, maybe? This story is set in the future, where humans don’t live on earth anymore, I think . Anyway, it shows a scene of a young boy starving in it too, and I believe there is also a scene where the boy and girl are holding onto each other going down a wide hole in the ground of some sort. I want to believe it's something I would never expect, like one of the continuations of Neon Genesis Evangelion or Gundam Wing... Although, I've not seen either of those, so I have no idea. Oh, and I don't seem to remember giant robots, but maybe they just didn't make a strong impression on me.

Well, anyway, that’s all I can remember now from the trailer that I saw over a year ago… Augh, I’ve been wracking my brain on and off for year now for it… and I've resorted to banging my head against the wall and calling myself an idiot.
Oh, and on a side note: it’s a fairly modern anime, probably no older then 2003, but can’t be sure.
The anime seems to have a heavy aspect of revenge or rebellion from what I saw in the trailer, and I am very certain it is licensed in America.


No it's not what I was looking for. Although, this anime does look interesting, the art I remember from the trailer was more serious looking. I mean, eyes were'nt exactly like human eyes (Like Final Fantasy), but they didn't take up the whole face either.

Ok.... If I knew where the trailer was, I wouldn’t be starting a thread asking about it. As it is, I saw this trailer on the preview trailers section of a DVD in which I can't remember (it may have been one loaned from a friend), and I'm so mad at myself at forgetting it, because if I at least knew what DVD had the trailer on it, I would so be trying to find the anime that way.
No, the art I saw was tame in comparison to this anime.

Sadly, it's not Jyu Oh Sei. (Which I am a fan of)
But yeah, when I saw the trailer to the anime I had seen a year ago, it seems like they were a more technologically advanced society. Like genetically altering the main guy wasn’t unheard of (the goverment was expected to be bad like that, since it lets its civilians starve) although unethical. But it wasnt a worldwide genetic alteration like Jyo Oh Sei was. I think the genetic alteration is a semi secret though, which the goverment hasn't really exposed. But somehow the main guy escapes. It sort of reminds me vaugly of the Avenger anime.

Well, anyway, still looking for suggestions...

I could think of some dystopian anime that could fit this criteria...but I'm not sure if they're the ones you're looking for.. It's a mixture of everything you've mentioned.

Well, I looked at the trailers for all of them, but it wasn't those. Although the dark color aspect from Technolyze was like it with te dark noir type themes going on at the trailer. Although the male was more of a bishi. Kind of like some of the males from the anime Terra E (but had straight hair)
