Hey!

For those of you that are Kubo Tite fans, I'm sure you've read or at least heard about Zombie Powder. I've heard some random information about this series so I just wanted to get it straight what really happened.

I heard that, Shounen Jump stopped running the series after the 4th volume although Kubo Tite had planned more chapters etc. Is this true? I know all 4 volumes that were published are all scanlated. Is there is another magazine besides Shounen Jump that runs it, and if there is, would it be possible for a group to pick up this project again? I'll help with the cleaning/editing (i'm still new with photoshop but i'll try my best) and proofreading. I just wanted to get some answers as to the incompleteness of this series. Its such a shame that such a great project is no more.

Thanks,
Poko

Only 4 volumes were ever made, no more than that, see above for details.

Impossible.
Tite on his own dropped this manga.

Hey someone with some skill could go ahead and finish it if there are no plans from tite. It wouldn't be the ending he wanted but at least there would be something. This would be a good chance for an English artist to get a manga fanbase.

The story as I heard it was that he was going through some emotional troubles and couldn't continue working on Zombie Powder. I think I heard somewhere that he might pick it up again after Bleach, but I might just be imagining things there.

Copyrights for starters. It wouldn't be a real continuation unless Kubo Tite would allow that... And somehow I don't see that coming.
Doujinshi are always a way out of that. Or fanficition, if you really want it to end. Though myabe someday when Bleach ends Kubo will continue on Zombie Powder (*wishing mode*)

True. Zombie Powder had to withstand a quite large amount of criticism ( even plagiarism talk )...it was Tite's first manga, so he even got into a depression (or at least the rumors say so).

Sure...if you have like 0,5mln USD? Bleach is worth a lot more, of course, but Zombie Powder also has some potential.
Besides, it's really not about a story. It's about "other manga by Kubo Tite". So even if someone makes a continuation...
