All his -gatari works are infinitely superior to this one. I doubt he even had the vaguest idea he was going to take the plot in this direction when he started.

Are you sure about that? The plot was terrible to begin with, and it wasn't interesting in the least. Also, Nisemonogatari doesn't have any premise besides the fact that it's a novel. It basically deserves no more than what Medaka Box deserves.
Nisio Isin is overrated, so I can understand why you'd think that, but regardless, you can't say Nisemonogatari has any sort of plot or premise.

NisiOisin's Bakemonogatari was better than Nise (At least anime wise, never read them). But I love reading Kizumonogatari and watching Katanagatari.

This is entirely different though. The thing I love about this manga is how it can't even take itself seriously. I've read it since it first came out from chapter one, and eventually I didn't expect anything from it, which is probably when Kumagawa was first introduced. I enjoy it because the author is clearly poking fun at the audience and trying to mess with us a lot, this is blatantly obvious when Ajimu was introduced and breaking the 4th wall all the time.

To be honest, I also didn't enjoy it to begin with, because I had no idea what direction this manga was going. As I kept reading, things became more and more absurd, my frustration toward it became amusement. Now whenever I read Medaka Box, I don't expect a thorough well thought out plot, but more on the dialogue, the interesting tidbits, its portrayals on cliches, and the weird logic that the characters have.

When did reading manga have to be serious business? This is a really fun read. It's like reading a comic about Deadpool. I'm clearly going to read it for the consistent plot.

It's not about serious business and what not. It's the fact that this series is just in general to me; bad. How could this series be poking fun at children? This is published in Weekly Shounen Jump, which is read well enough by children.

The idea of making such characters is most likely just because of their seemingly unique selves. If you want to make jokes about shounen manga, stop making an action manga and make a gag manga. Well, with the kinds of jokes in this manga, it probably wouldn't survive much longer...

As you said, the manga is filled with dialogue, which is extremely boring to read at times. Wait... no, it is always boring to read.

I really don't understand your comparison to Deadpool, so I can't say much. Again, this isn't serious business, rather a post about an uninteresting, boring, tedious, and not fun to read manga.

I haven't noticed any kind of cliche in the manga so far, and this "weird logic" is just nonsense. I am not reading a novel here, especially not an uninteresting one.

Writing paragraphs on the flaws on the manga seems pretty serious enough to me.

It seems like you're interpreting the manga as something it isn't. It isn't meant to be linear, nor rational. This is why there are many abnormal characters, and weird logic that comes with it. The joy of reading this manga comes from how absurd it is at times. This is due to the author purposefully using the contents of his manga such as the plot, genre, and characters as tools to TROLL the audience. Of course, this kind of experience is not felt during the beginning of the manga which is actually the more normal portion of the manga.

Oooooh dialogue is scary. I shouldn't read well known weekly manga such as Hunter x Hunter, Death Note, Bakuman, or Hikaru no Go, despite the paragraphs of words in each chapter. Just like those series, it's what makes this series atypical. Because of the rationale of the characters being consistently irrational and yet outside the box, reading it has becomes less of a bore than it was in the beginning of the manga. Do you know why? Because in the beginning, it was more about the NORMAL characters. You kinda know everything that there is to offer, which is what makes it a snorefest. The moment abnormal people come into play, their word play is an amusement because it makes people go LOLWTF.

So sorry if you can't enjoy a series just because you take it too seriously and interpret it as some sort of ideal manga that should follow a guideline as to what an ideal manga should be. Cause this is certainly not ideal, and that's what makes it great.

P.S: It pretty much IS a gag manga.

Well, if it made jokes on pop culture often, then it could be considered a gag manga, although it does not, nor anything particularly funny or interesting.

The dialogue is tedious due to the fact that written is pointless information that we don't need to waste our time on. Every time I read a chapter or watch an episode of the anime, I feel like jabbing my eyes with a knife. Why? Because I'm nearly asleep when watching/reading it.

If "not ideal" is what makes a great manga to you, why don't we consider "Happiness!" the perfect example of a manga?

You can't really say he's purposely using those contents to "troll" the audience. I have been introduced to this
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
child who can literally kill anything in his path. First of all, a ten-year old couldn't do such a thing. Why does this school not react to his massacres of other children? What about the parents' thoughts?
Much more nonsensical things happen throughout the manga.

When flaws come to the point of irritating you, you should have no reason to even continue with such a thing.

As for Kumagawa, I wouldn't be surprised if Nisio Isin forgot what he was writing and noticed that he was using brackets for the text, so he used that. Nonetheless, Kumagawa isn't an interesting character at all, seeing as I have no clue as to how you can speak with brackets. His personality is quite normal in manga.

I do not need a new manga to enjoy something. If the manga is just boring in general, with no plot, no interesting setting, no interesting characters, I really don't have a reason to read it other than to finish it.

Nothing needs to be ideal to be great. Even so, if it has simply too many flaws that disrupt a person, well then.

As I've said before, I highly doubt anyone would come up with the idea of "trolling the audience" unless they liked Nisio Isin extremely. If anything that uses cliches constantly can be considered as the author "trolling the audience," why don't we just give every manga a 10? Well, that's because they're simply bad.

It does make jokes, and mostly on manga in general. Such as main characters in other manga and makes a references to many of those main characters in a single page. The anime portrays merely the beginning of the manga which you should know consists of normal people, thus rational thought and logic, something we are perfectly capable of and thus repetitive.

I have not even read Happiness, nor have I even heard of it. However, because Medaka Box utilizes its own imperfections. Such as the fact that Medaka is a Mary Sue, a concept that is repeatedly criticized in literature. NisiOisin uses this as a plot device later and utilizes her perfection to create her as an antagonist in the story.

In accordance with your spoiler, you're applying logic to a gag manga that's not supposed to be taken seriously. Which is also nothing when you know that one character is at the same time, 1/6 of the world's population. AND yet, the readers have already accepted that. When flaws become so commonplace, there is also no reason to expect a lot from it, especially from a gag manga.

P.S Did you just called Kumagawa normal?

How can you ever compare this crap to any of that manga?

Is not about text being scary but a lot of meaningless text on a boring manga, to begin with HunterxHunter is the only action manga among that and most of the text is narration, with out that text a lot would be missing, and that's not the case with this manga.

And, from a third party perspective, it seems like you are changing you argument one way and another in order to win an already lose discussion with Ohmanitsjojo.

This manga is bad; Either one try to use chicles (because there are people that actually likes them) or make fun of them, this one missuses them(?) We have the worst of both sides (and here i was thinking that was impossible).

About the troll thing, nothing is more pathetic that making a retarded statement and then when you notice your mistake calling it a troll... This manga is pretty much that.

PD: Gintama had been making jokes (actual jokes, as in funny ones) about main characters on other jump works since before this manga was even imagined.

medaka box is somewhat like a Christopher Nolan movie, in the sense that it creates its own logic and follows it but when you stop to think about it, the plot itself was not that great. except that in this case is all fridge logic all the time wink

and with all defects, for me its a small oasis in the moe flooded world that manga has become, is one of the few mangas that still come out and surprise me with things i cant even tell they are retarded or brilliant
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
like the nature of the not-equals, or the whole "I'm gonna end this manga before the anime starts!"
but work in the absurdity of the plot
