Is there a series out there where the main character tries to change their lifestyle to impress or to become friends with somebody else? I don't want it where the character changes overtime, I want it where they change their life almost immediately and go through all of the struggles of trying to live this new life. It doesn't have to be a romance story, and no yaoi, yuri or hentai (like usual).

Argh, you just reminded me of a shoujo series I read back in high school about a dorky, unpopular girl who switches schools and decides to completely change her personality and make-up habits to become a popular girl with mixed results.

I cannot for the life of me remember the title though. I want to say it was one or two words with an exclamation mark though... I'll keep thinking about it though, and will let you know if/when it comes to me.
