I'm looking for a manga which has a doting parent sibling or friend
they have to have a prominent role in the manga (EDIT: it doesn't have to be the basis of the whole plot)

There must be NO serious romantic feelings between the one doting and the one being doted on (like in hot gimmick)
that being said the one doting must not be an asshole (like in the second story of Uroboros no Wa)

the interactions of this character must be comedic or bring a tear to the eye

examples:
One piece: pell, cobra and igaram to vivi
the brothers to the mc in the first manga in the bl series: warui
shiawase kissa sanchoume
kasumi - Daydream★Nightmare

note: the manga has to be 100% completely scanlated and not more than 20 volumes
also note: storyline and art has to be good and mc must NOT be super annoying

genres: pretty much any genre is fine (shoujo, shounen, bl, gl etc...) except hentai, horror, mecha, shotacon, lolicon ... err... i think thats all

Absolutely second My Girl (Sahara MIZU). You should also check out Love so Life. You could also read Usagi Drop but just don't read beyond Volume 4 (or better yet just watch the anime). Aishiteruze Baby also fits.

The male lead in Ayu Mayu dotes pretty heavily on whichever girl he believes to be his sister.

mabye hotman, sorry but it is not completed (well not completely scanlated) but this is a really good one though. The MC was a delinquent turned good when a baby is left at his door, and with a letter claiming it is his. anyways this MC has lots of brothers and sisters and is the oldest out of them all, most of the siblings have different fathers (mother remarried alot) and the big brother want them to get back together and live as a family again. He act like a father figure to his siblings.

Baby Pop has a funny but serious story about a young step-father and his teenage step-daughter (no romance between them)

Yamada Tarou Monogatari - the main character is always doting on all his various siblings...amongst other crazy shenanigans.

In Horimiya the female MC sorta dotes on her younger brother, and sometimes the male MC dotes on the female MC.

The female MC in 3-gatsu no Lion dotes on the male MC whenever she can get a chance

Gakuen Babysitters is a good one. It's so heart warming!
