I'm looking for a manga to read where the guy/girl/whatever messes up, cheats or something and screws up the relationship (not necessarily romantic) because of it BUT DOESN'T get back together/gets forgiven in the end of the chapter/volume. It's fine if they make up in the end, but I'm getting tired of the short-term break-ups/fights that is almost omnipresent in manga. Some exeptions would be

Suzuka ,Kare wa Tomodachi, Haru yo, Koi and Hetakoi
but those where the only ones I could think of right now. I can read almost any genres exept maybe yaoi(mainly because I haven't really tried yet), but I would prefer if it is completely availiable in english since I can't read japanese(yet biggrin). If you want to you can look at my lists but don't read too much into it since they are a complete mess, unrated and incomplete too.

hi!!! well recently i just finished Tonari no Atashi and in my opinion it sort of matches up to your expectation. It is completed and you can read it on any manga scanlation sites! it's shoujo, romance, slice of life etc etc. it takes place in middle/high school though. well i liked it so i hope you enjoy it as well!

Skip Beat - Still ongoing, but scans come out soon after the Japanese release and it is really good.
Are you enemy? - It is a yaoi, but not a hardcore porn without plot one. Not sure you can consider this complete since Miyamoto Kano seems to just add short stories and one shots at random, and the latest one ended on a cliff hanger, but no one knows when a new chapter will come out. All of her stories are emotionally complex and more realistic in that they contain multiple relationships and things don't always work out, so they are pretty good, and this is from someone who isn't really a yaoi fan, therefore, even though she updates in a really sporadic way, she is worth reading. Her rules series is much more developed if you want a longer story.

That's all I can think of, sorry. I'm not really into romance.

Mairunovich, looks like. It's a shoujo.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The translations haven't caught up to the point where the boyfriend cheats on the MC but afterwards it looks like the main couple still have feelings for each other. That's where the latest raws are so it's unclear whether they'll end up together because the guy everyone is rooting for is not the cheating boyfriend, hehe. The whole thing is a bit of a harem what with the love polygons all over the place.

Ok, I'm gonna check most of these out. Most likely not Skip Beat, 32 volumes and no end in sight... A bit long for me. Don't get me wrong, I LIKE long reads, but I want to know that there will be some sort of ending at least in the forseeable future biggrin ... Oh, and I've already read Strawberry 100%.

No worries, I understand the feeling. I quite like how drawn out it is as it makes it seem a long more realistic and helps me get invested in the relationship. I'm not a great fan of romance mainly because most of them seem childish, rushed, or forced. I really hate people declaring undying love after just meeting each other. Skip Beat takes a much more natural approach by showing that the main girl takes time to get over the devastation of her betrayal and that relationships aren't fairytales in real life. It is also really funny. That's just my opinion though. Maybe you could add it to your wish list and read it when it ends.

Oh,and I thought of another, Hana Yori Dango. They have a very roller coaster relationship.
