i'm not sure if this has been answered before since one of the answers directed the previous person to this site but anyway i've been tearing my hair out over the manga described here i remember reading it at least 5-6 years ago and can't remember for the life of me. thank you in advance!

I almost thought that maybe it was Zero no Tsukaima but it might be the anime called Slayers..she was a powerful magician..

Sounds exactly like Zero no Tsukaima but she was not the leader of anything. If your talking about near the beginning then she was the worst of the class but some how managed to summon the male lead to her world as her familiar. What do you mean by "She has long pink hair and wears this top that covers only THAT area and short shorts." What do you mean by "THAT". I know several more manga like this but its hard to exactly pinpoint it without knowing what you mean by "THAT".

well the person who wrote that yahoo answers meant she wore kinda like a crop top? thats how i remember it too at least and her hair went down to her waist i think
