Alan Moore wrote a porno (Lost Girl) and it is just borderline decent.
So i became curious and searched long and wide to find out if anyone else outmatched the master. Then if found this manga and it is quite good. A 7/10.
Mostly well written, property drawn and the relationship aspect was josei level worthy.
The sex-scenes were tasteful, made enough sense(never with a rubber ?) and didn´t look like gymnastics. I would describe them as borderline asexual because it seem that the characters had sex for "their" sake and not to pose for the reader if that makes sense. Commenters described it as un-fapable so i may have a point. A nice ending too. Pacing problems and very decent but somewhat incomplete sidestorys prevent me from rating it higher BUT hot damn. A porno with printable plot. The only time i saw that before was in Virgin Night(6/10). So my question to the community.
Does porn/hentai(i am NOT talking about borderline-H seinen or movies like Nymphomaniac) that is longer that 50 pages exist that has a good enough plot to be nominated for writing prises. I would never have said yes but this this manga gave me pause. The authors other series are 2 to 5/10 at best. Sadly.

Yes, I seen some that made me thinking, "Why is this writer still writing porn?" While that overrated writer of the well known series Gantz still writing regular manga. Well, Oku would be awesome writing a hentai, instead of an absurdist science fiction gorefest manga with a disappointing 3rd act. An it's not really an insult, since yeah, Oku would be awesome.

Too bad I'm too lazy (and very reluctant) to search for the name of the too-good-to-be-in-porn authors in the cesspool they called g-hentai. That site is depressing.

Please do or give me a tip if g-hentai gives you cancer. I am a librarian and good at research. Your reading list and avatar are very encouraging but Holyland is an 8 .
I and Mr. Miura love the mangaka. Mr. Gantz tough IS wildly uneven in his main work and crappy outside. I some how did like it though and his new one is still being evaluated with still positive results. Now on to porn !?!

The story is good, that I can agree on. Take the MATURE stuff off of it then yeah, I think it'd be a decent manga, probably a Josei. Hentai-wise though It's not hot enough. That's really important for a hentai don't you think? The story should be written just enough to make the fun stuff later on even hotter, NOT make it seem unnecessary to the story as this does.

This 'more on story' style reminds me of ISUTOSHI's hentai work. He later went on to write non-hentai titles too, like the fairly successful AIKI. Now he's working on its sequel

If we're talking about writing true hentai mangas really well, with a story written well enough to complement the H-stuff, then I'd say Seto Yuki. His latest compilation, Allargando, is a masterpiece And his art is just so beautiful.

EDIT: Oh and don't hate OKU! After all he did write well enough to make you read all the way through the 3rd arc

Well its hardly to say to be nominate for prize plus Im not really into the hentai manga since they just want to show sex only with no deep love.I'm straight but I prefer Yaoi because they can show love better than Yuri.

I can't help you on this subject but well here are my suggestion:

"Yanagida-kun to Mizuno-san" is good but author could do better some chapters are up and down but last chapters are better.

"Love on the Job" by same author that wrote "Velvet kiss", I can't really say that its good but its much better than velvet kiss. (she just drag it)

"Natsu no Zenjitsu" is good one but Its not really hentai, plot is good but not that great one,I like it.

"Kono Shima" has potential to get better but I can't say anything right now (no sex for now but im waiting)

The author of "Yume no Atosaki" could do better with plot but he just decided to finish it in one 1volume...

"Minamoto-kun Monogatari" is much better than actual story and author done it well (making it short)

"Wolf and Spice" would be great if author add sex to the story (thanks god we have good dojinshi out there / honestly even small kiss its enough for me)

I am aware of ALL off these and Yanagida-kun to Mizuno-san came closest to being good on the published as hentai side. It is even better then his real manga work .
I still gave it a 5/10 because of stupid logic. Sure the romance and humor mostly worked but the narrative ran on porn logic. And here is my problem with hentai. It needs minimal context to work as functioning pornography(i actually don´t care too much about porn myself) but the moment narrative comes in is the moment my brain switches into literature mode. So when sweet innocent love turn into fetish paradise or a harem(stop and go writing for one and secondly eather you write about infidelity or love and NOT both at once) gets involved or like in Velvet Kiss the story turns into inconsistent melodrama(read my review of it) is the moment i check out. During my quest a tried out a few "acclaimed" and eroge that have no adaptations. Katawa Shojo and Kana: Little Sister(stupid fakeout is stupid) came VERY close to being good so a 6/10 but harem elements and porn logic worked against them as always. Crescendo is kind of alright and a 5/10. There my brain again compared them to real japanese adventures like Snatcher and Virtues Last reward.
If i borderline liked these then soemone who is reading should check them out.
I dropped Aiki after 2/3 in because it turned stale and also think that he draws sex like a fighting game .
Natsu no Zenjitsu is a 9/10(Tango in Paris the manga and read my review again) has great story/sex symbiosis but i am not looking for seinen manga .
My quest is about a series of longer then 2 chapters(this is where cute vanilla porn turn a lot of times) that was published in a actual hentai magazine.
It does not need to be happy. Wolf and Spice´s ending will be to your liking and shonen-ai tends to be better written then it´s female sibling but most series in the field are fairy tails that have nothing to do with homosexuality or the real society like let´s say Queer as Folk UK or Kevin Keller from Archie Comis . Teen rated Archie Comics are amazing btw!
Kono Shima and Minamoto-kun Monogatari have bad and inconsistent narratives. Characterization where are you ? I also tried out all sorts of stuff like Milo Manara and even european porn is badly written from a novel writing standpoint. I can name you a lot of great looking sex on a page but a porn with story that can keep up with let´s say Image Comics Sex(Batman the porno) or Sex Criminal(award winning) are nonexistent.
My quest may have hit a wall but i got on it because i have found a random hentai that has better writing then a piece of self proclaimed porn from the most celebrated living author in the field of comics ! I just typed tags into google while watching tv and Sensei o Mite Kudasai magically showed up. I expected mental damage form g-hentai and NOT a real romance. Yes it has porn-logic and a badly integrated 3rd subplot but i cared while reading you guys. I can hardy envision it working a fapping material as said.
I guess that a third hentai that i can show to any of my friends will be comming form Fuuga, Ono Kenuji or TANAKA Yutaka in the furture ? They are still at it after all. Infinite monkey theorem will undoubtfully lead to actual porn that is on Shakespeare level. YEAH Science !

The last eroge on my to do list named Private Nurse turned out better then expected 6/10. I would call it an erotic fairy tail. And now my porn with a printable plot well(so much cartoon porn in the world) is dry and i have no more ideas. Greg Miller form IGN loves literotica but my librarien brain may not be ready.
I force-expanded my horisons(while watching my tv backlog)and something(but not much)good came out of my quest. I now even know that a readable Berserk two-part doujinshi exist . If anyone still has ideas i am still eager to hear !

I think it's very person to person, i can easily imagine only text based books, infront of me, as recently when i read Re:Monster (Novel) the translator speciell edit on some sexuel content they self made up were super well made.

Meanwhile, I wish I could say more about Karma's work, but idk a lot about him/her. I like his/her art style a lot, along with the some of the strange ideas (breasts that wouldn't stop bouncing, rain that acted like snow, a boy's losing his balls*, etc. etc., all taking place as a hentai).
*It's really strange, but I remember finding it quite funny.

From what I found from someone's comment on Fakku,

There are a lot of good recommendations here, but I've got a few new ones to add:

Ne.to.ge by TAMAKI Nozomu, the mangaka of Dance in the Vampire Bund. School-life story meets virtual reality MMORPG Fantasy. To my own astonishment, it wasn't as dumb as it sounds. The story may not be orignal, but the mangaka took his time to properly develop the attraction between the two leads as their interaction with each other increases.

OKAMA's Hana Fuda is okay storywise (adventure in mythical historical Japan), but its full-colour artwork is gorgeous.

Fairy Gone Garden by SAIKI Keita
A thoughtful little story that happens to be H. Don't look at the category tags.

The following one-shots may not have much substance and I can't guarantee that they pass than 50+ pages mark, but they are as vanilla Shounen romance-ish as they get:

Futari de Ippo (In One Step) from TOHGARASHI Hideyu's collection MGY - Maguwai is a school-life romance with a dash of H. The rest of the collection is fairly neglectable.

NARUKO Hanaharu's Distance Between the Two
This one could've been a Shoujo if not for the juicy parts.

Solid depiction of the awkward but sweet moment when the relationship between very close cousins and childhood friends grows into something else.

Both beautifully bittersweet Josei-ish short stories. Enough said.

Dr. P's inter-linked rom-com hentai collections, starting with Anata ga Fureru Tabi ni.
Short stories about mutual love with an unusually elaborate framework to hold them together.

And then there's DOUMAN Seiman's Saigo no Seihonnou to Suibakusen. While it is technically a hentai collection, this is the last term I'd use to describe it. This mangaka's brought his own indescribable interpretation to the genre. His art style resembles Mike Mignola's.

By the way, are you reading Cuvie's Nightmare Maker? It's Borderline H, and the romance is more of a subplot, but you could give it a try.

After going over Tripitaka´s(see the public interest) links in the 18+ section I want to point out that i would like to stay here because we are assembled for plot not the PLOT so consider this "adult" josei/seinen if you will. I will now list the manga that managed to fill the length requirement of storytelling in the links and haven´t been mentioned here.
Not that i agreed with the quality of narrative but i am not the though-police.
Here they are: Girigiri Sisters, Hishoka Drop, Honey Blonde, Kumo no Michi, Pink Sniper, iTiKEi and Witchcraft.

Two stood out among them that and fit:
Cheerism: Koi Moyou Amenochi Hare (The Calm After the Rain Is Like Love) only, then the color short inter-quell and then the sequel Koimoyou Hare Nochi Hare it goes. Could/should have been a shojou manga if you ask me. Even the length fits. Tracking.

Evergreen is a heavy drama and maybe seinen would have fit better. It covers dark subject matter like abortion and took incest seriously. There are also well done(angry)facial expressions in it. I need the ending explained btw. Help.

I couldn´t put this one-shot up at MU because is was not scanlated by group. It could/should have run in Fellows! because they do such one-shots(big fan btw.) that never get scanlated. It has amazing visual storytelling and while groping your (not)sleeping friend isn´t the best idea i would look at the art again for that scene. Storytelling through facial expression(on her side) implacable is. This is something especially my american artist bros fail at in todays market a bit.
Hamachii to Misaki-san from Watashi Ecchi Desu yo? has good character dynamics but the main course is Oidemase Nyan Nyan. A rom-com must read. Honeymoon Salad done right firstly and in 1/10 the time secondly but look at the visual storytelling here too.
Awesome animal metaphors, great comedic timing and good one-shots overall to fill out this compelling package of a volume. This is what i am here for i guess?
Yuuki Shizuka - Senior i have mentioned him already but this one-shot is pretty good.
Nice visual storytelling (the finger counting and triple flashback without anyone noticing. Should go places.

Hentai one-shots are perfectly cool if they exceed at something or "A (new) Challenger Appears". Maybe no "strict" yaoi/yuri manga because we have a big forum for such things. Experts there will help you. Expect way shorter pieces by me because the hard work(i tried out so much) is done, i now have a system set up and i will post how to retrace my journey in only one very easy step next time to find missing pieces and how i will continuously go along. Night gathers, and now my watch begins.

Remembered this collection of monster girl romances, Jingai Shunman Ko no Sho by Niku Drill Both stories got a tad more substance than your usual hentai, and the (visual) narration's quite nice.

One of my favorite Authors even though i am not a big fan of the Loli genre is Ootsuka Reika and her short stories from Dororicchu speacially the whole Somersault Story , i think you should check "A Meal for Two" "Somersault" and "Kimi's Hometown" even if you arent a fan of Loli i think is one of the Cutest Vainilla stories i have read in a while
