I remember reading the first chapter of this manga a while back when it was being first scanlated.

It's a detective sort of manga where the police come to the MC for help, and it may have revolved logic/math themes.

In the first chapter, there was a death where the corpse (ruled as an accident/suicide?) was surrounded by coins on the floor. The MC eventually reasons that the death was non-accidental/murder because all the coins on the floor were facing the same way (e.g. all heads) since the probability of such an occurrence was extremely low. Also I think the MC actually writes the probability of the occurrence on a chalkboard.

sounds like the show Numbers in a manga form, interesting, i'll keep a look out for it in my searches

Found it! It's called Kakuritsu Sousakan Mikoshiba Gakuto for anyone interested
