I am listening to Crooked Teeth by DCFC and I think that it sounds an awful lot like Picture Book by the kinks

Hmm... Listen to Wonderwall (oasis), then listen to Life got cold by girls aloud... I think that was what it's called. The girls aloud song could go straight into wonderwall xD

After listening to this I feel that "Tommy heavenly6 - My friend" and "Beyonce - Irreplaceable" sounds similar. :)

There's Blondie's "Maria", which has a Korean version sung by Kim Ah-Joong.

The intros fo RHCP's Dani California sounds an awful like Lynyrd Skynyrd's Sweet Home Alabame and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' Mary Jane's Last Dance.

lol, didn't Vanilla Ice get permission to use Under Pressure as a backing to Ice Ice Baby?

My youngest brother thinks all DragonForce songs sound the same

Brother: "It's as if you had one song on repeat mad "
Me: "For the last 4 songs, I did roll eyes "

If I like a song I tend to repeat it a few times. biggrin

Mika has been said to have a similar singing voice to Freddie Mercury. Also I find that a lot of American bands sound almost identical to each other, even if not the individual songs but rather the vocals/sound.

I was about to say that, yeah, they do all sound the same (but that's half the fun).

The only way to effectively tell them apart is to look at the name of the current track or to memorize how early (and I say early, not late, for a reason) in the song the obligatory massive shredding guitar solo starts.

And knowing all this, I still profess to like Dragonforce. They're fun!

I've never been able to tell apart Moi Dix Mois songs...part of the reason I don't like their music at all.
Agree with Nickelback, and I have to add another two to that list: Tokio Hotel and Rebelde have all their rearspawn songs sounding exactly the same <_<.

There's this song around here (no idea how it's called) that in the beginning seems a complete ripoff from Vidoll's Juunen-something (damn complicated name...http://youtube.com/watch?v=-LZluRZiFz8). I'm always like...wtf who's playing Vidoll?!?

Your eloquent way of stating that has left me really, really impressed. Good job there. It's so true though, I totally can't tell them apart. It makes me laugh when people start screeching over a new one, because it's the same as the last one they were screeching over.

Tokio Hotel works too, as they have a grand total of two songs: the normal-speed song and the slow song. Every time I hear them I just stick whichever song it is into one of those two categories.

And I'd add Foo Fighters in, because it's like they've got a formula now. There are some Foo songs that I love to bits and all, but there's nothing new anymore. They're like Tokio Hotel, two categories.

I disagree on the Foos. Their new album was diverse and of high quality.

That said, How Many More Times by Led Zeppelin sounds a lot like Money by Pink Floyd

Vienna Teng's Enough to Go By, and Carrie's Song are pretty similar...
