Hello everyone. I'm looking for a story that has a particular sort of "love triangle." Basically this would involve the main character wanting loving/lusting over their love interest, then successfully be in a relationship with their love interest now turned lover. The twist is, their lover actually has feelings for somebody else. Just to clarify, this isn't an unrequited love which lacks "reciprocation" per se. The main character's lover has to at the very least shown an unmistakable preference to somebody else. This could be displayed through subtext or known to the main character.

Firstly the story must be told from the main character's point of view. The lover status must not be present from the start of the story, the main character should start off at the very least as acquaintances and at the very most best friends and then progress from there. I would prefer the main character not to have entered a committed relationship and it just stays as an affair (FWB), though this isn't a requirement. It does not matter when the main character's lover becomes interested in the third person, however they cannot two time between the main character and the third person. The third person must at least be acquainted with the main character and their lover. Also the main character's lover must not have had any past relationship with the third person. However, the main character could have other lovers.

Main character and lover having sex is a requirement. I would very much prefer to see sex scenes, although showing characters in "before/after sex" circumstances is fine, such as unclothing each other.

Finally, ecchi and smut is fine, nothing more than Borderline H. Main character can be male or female, genre can be Yaoi/Yuri etc, doesn't matter. It doesn't need to be primarily a romance but the theme has to be significant to the story.

Goong (I can't remember if they have sex or not)
Fated to Love You (HIGHLY recommend watching the drama)
Kare no Ondo

Sorry Angelrose6, I'm sure your efforts were earnest but none of these has what I'm looking for.

I think this is a hard one to find (figure which is why I'm asking for some help) so I decided to provide the only closest example I know.

Renai Shinjuu Well aside from the lousy story telling, this manga isn't even fully translated as far as I'm aware. The affair occurs between Yuni & Ren.

The things that this manga has is:
*the affair wasn't present from the beginning
*the lover (Yuni) had feelings for the third person (Luna)
*the lover settles for the protagonist and isn't successful with the third person
*there is no previous relationship between Yuni and Luna

Remember the protagonist doesn't have to be restricted to the lover.

If somebody can find a manga like Gestalt (yaoi) where the protagonist has an affair with his love interest and not just his doppelganger then that'll be great! (manga doesn't have to be yaoi though).

I hope there are translated manga out there with this theme, anyone with good suggestions?

I'm happy that you have decided to help me out but if I'm not mistaken doesn't the 2 male leads have a thing going on? I say this because literally neither of them manages to so much as kiss the female lead but correct me if I am wrong as I only skimmed here and there. So for now I am sorry but it does not meet my requirements but again I may be wrong.

I may not be understanding some underlying factor to the story however, angsty stories tend to get ambiguous really quickly which is why sex would have been better for me as a plot device.
