Tokyo Mew Mew was my first shoujo manga. Looking back it was not great but it did get me into manga so I have to be thankful.

My first shojo (and first manga in general) was Ultra Maniac. I borrowed it from my sister when she bought it. My love of manga sort of snowballed from there. I now have hundreds of manga volumes on my shelves, and I study manga at university. I will be doing a PhD in Manga Research. Who knew that borrowing a few books from my sister would lead to my future career.

Fruits Basket all the way for me! It was the first manga that my brother owned and would actually let me read. Still one of the best shoujo mangas I've ever read ^^

My first shoujo manga (first ever anything manga, actually!) was one that I picked up at my local library when I was still in primary school. I don't remember what it was called, and I only remember very vaguely what it was about (romance, obviously, and in the magic/fantasy genre I think), but it was from there that I began reading manga online, and since then it has become part of my life!
The first shoujo manga that I actually remember is Hana Kimi. I was obssessed, and I think I finished the whole thing within a week, and that was quite a long time ago, so now I can read even faster
Since then I have read many shoujo mangas which I think are much better though, but I guess that one still is significant to me (I'm thinking of re-reading it actually...)

Time Stranger Kyoko It was the first shoujo manga published in my country, and also my very first "real" manga. Real meaning not flipped and with no colors.
