neon genesis evangelion girlfriend of steel 2nd (or iron maiden 2nd) count as one confused??

well i'm reading that one ^___^ a lot better than the original xD

aaah and "evangelion retake" the plot is amazing

note:actualy I hate evangelion but that two are just materpieces (for my at last ¬¬)

i think fanfiction are (in somes cases) good because they help to the original to be better ( evangelion girlfriend of steel 2nd)in others are just a way to make fuck the protas like idiots (just a hentai Doujinshi ), and in others the sex parts are just perfect with the plot and they complement the original history realy well or remade it (evangelion retake)

just my opinion feel free to trash it ¬¬ ^_____^

go easy on my i'm not english native ¬¬

I used to read a lot of fanfiction in high school- almost all Evangelion (which was MASSIVE back then) but also a few of the longer Ranma ones. Then I just... stopped. Maybe because I realized that this stuff is actually pretty crap.

A while back, I reacted to a sudden, random urge to look up some more fanfics. I decided to look for Naruto ones, but did you know there are now almost eighty-thousand Naruto fanfics on FanFiction.net alone? Skimming through them, I noticed a recurring theme: almost all of them were utter rubbish, written by people with a sub-mediocre grasp of the english language and ridiculous ideas about what constitutes a good story idea (Hinata x Deidara fics?!). Sturgeron's Law (originally coined about science fiction) states that 95% of everything is crud, but every now and then a jewel shines through. When referring to fanfiction, it's usually more like 98% and for Naruto fanfiction it's more like 99.999% with rather dirty jewels. Mind you, I have quite high standards these days, which makes me somewhat unforgiving of people who can't spell, or stick random Japanese words ("kawaii", "baka") into english stories just to show they can.

Despite this, I've actually started writing a Naruto fanfic of my own, mostly just to raise the general quality (pardon my arrogance). Unfortunately, the same high standards are kind of hamstringing me, as I still haven't finished the second chapter (and planned to have at least the first three chapters done before I started releasing them, so there aren't large delays between releases). Meh, it'll get rolling as soon as I can overcome this damn writers block for chapter 2- I have the rest of the stroy written in my head, but chapter 2 is kind of fuzzy. Maintaining quality is harder than it seems.

That's a good thing, I think. Your sense of self-preservation is kicking in. laugh

I'm sure there are good fanfics & doujins out there, but (as others have noted) they're few & far between.

One of my favourite things I've ever read was a doujinshi. It's not hard to find out what with a bit of effort ;)

I don't read fanfics though.

that's personal one of the best i'v read....even though it's insanely long for my liking...it was well thought out, details were great, and they kept the characters personalities in mind...^^

I don't read fanfics or really fanfic type doujinshi for that matter.
I guess I prefer to stick to strict canon, so if a fanfic stayed with that I might read it.
But "doujinshi" doesn't only mean stories based off of published manga, right?
It can be original stories that aren't commercially published? I would read those if one sounded interesting. Like I suppose webmanga would be original doujinshi?

But now i'm voted to manga, so there no fanfictions anymore in this crappy pc =P
I feel quite guilty because i was really into that world and community!!
