The Answer: You don't. MangaUpdates does not offer or host free manga (legal or illegal) for you to read or download. We are an information site and strive to keep you updated on the latest series and release information.

That's right. We aren't a download service, and we do not encourage downloading licensed manga series. If you like a series, go buy it and help out the anime and manga industry. I'm sure they will appreciate it.
What is IRC? And how do I use it?
IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat, and it consists of several large chatting networks. You can login, join a "channel" and talk with other people on that channel.

How do I find this particular group's "channel" (for IRC)?
A particular group's channel address can be found on that groups "Group Info" page to the right of where it says "IRC". If that space is empty it is because that particular group does not have an IRC address or they have requested that it not be posted.

What do I do with these torrent files?
BitTorrent is a popular peer-to-peer file sharing technology. You will need to download a program like uTorrent to use them. You may also find a beginner's guide in their "Guides" section

How come there are no download links for <name of series>?
There are three main reasons:
Reason 1: The series is licensed. We do not allow download links of licensed series. See this and this news post for more information.
Reason 2: The person that added the release simply didn't add a public download link here so that you would visit his website or IRC channel
Reason 3: No one has scanlated that manga yet. You'll have to wait until some group decides to translate and scanlate the manga.
