Those are my choices! Well, not exactly my choices by choice.... 🙄

Is that why you always end with "mmm... " Does it signify your motorcycle engine humming? 😁
New Poll - Worst Lover Traits

I never comment, and I always quickly do the poll, but this poll has way too much crossover! You have dumb and simple minded; violent and yandere (I can't believe Google dictation utility understood yandere—TWICE!); spoiled, childish and, to some extent, jealous and yander...

The following two categories are duplicates; I think the first one is far better:

Gaming term: DPS means...?
(2 posts, 885 views) Posted: about 1 year ago by berubetto in Party kara Tsuihou Sareta Sono Chiyushi, Jitsu wa Saikyou Nitsuki
From the description:

Anyway, here’s the story of a support who’s secretly a DPS, and where the entire conflict stems from the fact that he never told his old party he was a DPS.

What does DPS stand for and what does it mean? Thank you very much!

Waaaiiit, why isn't there an answer option that says Don't care/not applicable?

* If it's the kind of thing someone would know because of reading a lot...

Poetical, even! This is quite the juxtaposition—an accident on my part, but I have loved some other titles chosen by these groups, so I think I'll give this one a go when I'm more awake!

When I'm half asleep, I can only read isekai, you know. PS did you know that the Goo...

Anyone know what "Buratto Buradora" means?
(2 posts, 634 views) Posted: over 4 years ago by berubetto in Buratto Buradora
D'OH! Overthinking does it again!!! But MaskingTape narrowed in on the important information as if by delineating it with...masking tape or some... such... thing.

Heh. Blood LadBurado Rado (makes me wonder if "Rado" is considered an obvious pun for the English slang ...
Anyone know what "Buratto Buradora" means?
(2 posts, 634 views) Posted: over 4 years ago by berubetto in Buratto Buradora
The first part of the title means "Brat" but I can't figure out the second word. I already looked it up on jisho.org as:

buradora
bura dora
bura tora
bura
dora
tora

The result was...meh. The first three were looked up as the verb "buru" (https://jisho.org/search/buradora). I gue...
African Manga Readers......are there a lot of them?
(5 posts, 790 views) Posted: over 5 years ago by berubetto in Chatter Box
What about in Kenya? IIRC there's a very large English-language speaking population there. Lots of French speakers in Africa, too.

I wonder how much cultural influence, if any, the North Koreans who have built monumental statues in Africa have had on the local population,...
New Poll - Trademarks in Manga
(8 posts, 844 views) Posted: over 5 years ago by berubetto in News
Leave it as the author wrote it, BUT add a translator's note explaining the background & connotations or what a native-language reader of the original version would understand and infer from it.

I have to say that I loved how Nightow-sensei used "Famebook" for "Facebook" ...

You missed a category, which is easy to do, of course. I chose Retired, but I'm not really. I'm on long-term disability.

Thanks to whoever found this adorableness!

Any English version of the novel?
(1 posts, 1462 views) Posted: over 8 years ago by berubetto in Kyokou Suiri
Kyokou Suiri is based on a novel. Does anyone have enough info to add it to the MU database? Also, is there an English version in the works anywhere?

I adore this series, and I want to read more of the manga NOW than is humanly possible to for mangaka & groups to process ...

I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW, right?!? Check this list of chapters & dates out!

And the art alone of the first chapter back has all the characteristics you'd expect for a reboot:

On 10/24/2012, the 118th Korean chapter of Supernatural Investigation Department was published and then all went silent.

After re-reading the 70-odd English chapters available, I felt the urge to know (despite my utter lack of Korean) what the author was up to. So I click...
Any new works since "Safe Again Today"?
(1 posts, 739 views) Posted: over 9 years ago by berubetto in Safe Again Today
I was so sad when I saw Safe Again Today stopped after 2 volumes when the plot had been designed to be longer.

MU only has two works listed for the pair who created this series. Would someone who knows Korean see if they've done any work since? Thanks!

I have no idea, but I love this manga. I hope it hasn't died in Japan, at least. Please post anything you've found in the past year. Thanks!

The following are the same, with the second being the established tag:

Also, Shounen with Female Lead has disappeared. I'm going to add it to the manga whose categories I'm working on, but if it disappears again, I won't add it...

Y'know, for anyone who holds on to the last bits of their Latin from high school or wherever, the title alone is a HUGE spoiler. Not only that, but it appears *on the main Binbougami page*. So BAM! I was spoiled as to the ending of 16 volumes of manga when all I've done i...

You might want to post something to Batoto, since non-English groups are active there. Your target audience would be more likely to see your post, and if you ask, maybe they'd even translate your post for you so you'd reach a larger percentage of your audience.
