It's a one/two volume story that was dragged out to 22 (and counting) volumes and it shows. The author basically took a somewhat unique concept, and dragged it out for every little thing it was worth. It's like the 'simpsons' of shoujo manga. Readable and somewhat interesting in the beginning, but dragged out so long that its almost become a parody of itself.

And you can say things like "oh, it's the comedy that makes it fun to read". What comedy? After the first few volumes, the author ran on empty on plot and comedy ideas and has been rehashing the same tired jokes ever since, and once in awhile to spice things up she digs into her big bag of shoujo cliche's and slaps some in.

This story needs to be brought to the back of the woodshed and be put out of its misery. Now.

so what? i like it coz its not the typical, cry-my-eyes-out-please-let-prince-charming-sweep-me-off-my-feet shoujo!

Though not one of the most eloquent of mangas, it has it charm. It's offbeat and highly amusing-- a great read while waiting for releases. The art is adorable, especially the chibis. Recommended for readers who want a break from their usual categories. (Unless you go for these regularly.)

but seriously, this story needs to die. it's like some kind of hybrid fruit that became something gorgeous but ripened past its prime and stinks up the place. every year i knock the score down half a point. God forbid it's still going another year from now.

This is so freeking weird!! creepy, off beat and random.
Exaggerated beyond doubt. Kill the manga off? It died before it began. The art is ugly, the characters are ugly, the plot it pointless and has no direction.

Enter Sunako Nakahara.
I mean everything would be good if it weren't for that FREAK. The nosebleeds are grotesque! I mean blushing would do more good. I wonder what was going through the authors mind when she created such a in a nice way to put it absurd weirdo!

And this whole manga revolves around her coming to terms with her own inner beauty. Dude! that will NEVER happen, I repeat never happen.
I find every situation to be kind of gross (seeing as everything has to do with her having a seizure and another of many nosebleed episodes) it's plain disguisting, and over dramatic.

No sane person would be able to tolerate this absurdity.
I hope she dies in a pool with steaming hot men, that way I'd be entertained. And then she can have her final nosebleed and bleed herself to death. We all love our happy endings. I'll pray for mine.

I really like this manga series. It's been a while since I've been able to find one I've gotten addicted to and quick. The only thing: I hope it doesn't go on for longer than thirty volumes. I don't really like those kinds of series where nothing ever happens and I wish they would show Sunako more, but other than that, this manga series so AWESOME!!!

I like this one a lot, the story kept me going for lots of chapters.
the art is pretty good, the thing i dont lyk tho, theres too much chibi sunakos....im so pissed. There cudve been more time for the scary ones or pretty ones ><

overall i love it, and its one of my favorites

It started very promising. Though I didn't/don't like the art, I found the chibi's very cute. However, the story became n'importe quoi, and it became a sequence of whatever the mangaka wanted to, they're supposed to be funny, but after nth time, you get bored of them.

Yeah, I liked the serie when I started reading it : the drawing style can be gorgeous from time to time (there is too much chibi Sunako though), and the jokes were funny...

But when you can't make any progress in your story on the course of 20 volumes, I would say that qualify as worst plot development I've ever seen !

If the mangaka finally decide to grow a little I may take to reading that again and change my rating but right now I'm mainly disgusted by the waste of a good beginning that this manga is.

This was promising, so, so promising. I really loved the premise of the plot and had high hopes. However, Sunako is just ACTUALLY creepy, spurted blood in the faces of pretty people (wtf?) and was always drawn in chibi form. After a while I just wanted to choke her. The characters were boring--no, scratch that, the entire thing was boring! Nothing happened! And based on these comments, I can see that more nothing happens! I didn't even like the art!

Such a terrible, terrible disappointment.
