Honestly, I wanted to give this a try because the summary sounded very interesting and the art is also very beautiful. However, I was expecting a little more romance between the baker and the artist but as I kept reading all I was getting was extended flashbacks to their pasts so I didn't get that chemistry or budding romance between Sun Hwa and Goong Ha. The back story's are also very twisted and sadistic. So yeah, if you're expecting lovey dovey romance and the 2 main characters to end up together- I wouldn't advise reading further cause you will get your hopes up.

High expectations when I read the first few chapters. Got disappointed towards the middle to end part.

Honestly, I do not know where the author was planning to go with the plot. First I got the vibe that the author was aiming for a psychological vibe á la Killing Stalking or Color Recipe. Secondly, after reading some more chapters, it seemed like the author had second thoughts and went for the ex-lovers-tragic-past-plays-a-role kind of shit. I did not mind it, until it clearly took a lot more space plot-wise than the development of the main characters.

Lastly, I did not really understand how the mains could like each other -that much- when there was no real development between them? I found myself rooting for the seme and his ex more than him and Sun Hwa.

Nonetheless, I did not particularly like this manhwa. Moreover, I find webtoons in general has a long way to go when it comes to creating decent stories. Read it if you want, but do not expect a literary yaoi miracle.

I feel it necessary to write a review for this manwha because it needs a defense. While there are certainly weak points in story progression (the build-up of the relationship between the main characters being the biggest one) overall this is a moving and darkly accurate portrayal of what it's like to be gay in a society where it isn't accepted. The main story could have used some more love, but both of the backstories are moving and depict the hardships of life in a respectful way hardly ever shown in yaoi. If you're looking fluff then look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a story with depth than read on!

Honestly, I was expecting this to be really good. I haven't finished but so far I'm quite disappointed. I am not too interested in the backstory but that seems to be the main focus. It feels like the relationship between the baker and artist is extremely rushed. I have a hard time motivating myself to continue reading since my favorite thing with romance is how the chemistry, relationship and tension is built up before they get together. Here it kinda just happened.

I find myself scrolling and skimming in the backstories because I just wanted if there's a real progression between the MCs. And to my disappointment, there's not.
If you like underdeveloped stories and just for the smex, read this. Skip if you don't

I don't know, maybe I got greedy when webtoons became popular, because the artist could freely express themselves and were showing really unexpected storylines, so now I think all the webtoons are great and innovative.
This one is good but no fireworks guys. It's a nice story but it seems that the author wanted to finish it a bit too soon, maybe she got bored with her characters. I don't really like it that she has put some of the bactories at the end as a site stories, it would be much better if they were incorporated into the story. And the flow between the preset and the past seemed bad. It lacked the proper editioring of the story.

To be honest, I liked the works she has done after this one better but they have this same issue, she leaves too many things unsolved and rushes with the stories. Doesn't let the readers grasp the inside feelings of the characters. It's a nice read but I expected more as she really comes up with great characters and nice story ideas.
