Description
Rakan lives alone, and the plants in his garden grow so thick and fast that it seems like a jungle. One day a man, holding a gun made of wood, falls right down into his garden. He seems to come from another world, and he's searching for someone who can bring back the green into his own dark and inhospitable world.

Truthfully, I haven't found better since I read this.
On the downside, there isn't much BL-ness, but its all good. Everything else makes up for that.
Seriously, I can't reccommend anything better than Silver Diamond. The end.

One of my top shonen-ai mangas, i really wasn't planning reading 8 volume at once since its already 12 am in the morning. But i read all 8 volumes at once and slept 6 am lol. The plot and the art was fantastic, characters have their own unique personality. I mean even if you don't like shonen ai, you'll like this. I really hated that it got licensed thats why SH drop it =( Tokyo pop is also really slow =/ Highly recommended and a must read!!
LOVE~~

finally! a fantasy manga that doesn't feel cliche! i've read other mangas that have the plot where the main character is teleported to another world, etc, etc, or vice versa, and they all have a feeling of cliche. Since because i've read many mangas like that, those types bore me. but this one didn't. I don't know why. Maybe it's the main characters, maybe it's the humor, maybe it's the cute shounen-ai! XD
this fantasy manga is completely different than any others and have it's own original plot. the characters are well drawn as well. I'm intrigued to learn more about their past and especially about Rakan.
RECOMMENDED IT!
--update 7/4/11---
Since Tokyopop has shut down its North America base, Silver Diamond is no longer distributed in America Thus, I hope that the scanlator groups will pick this up and start translating it again! ONEGAI! Please! There are more than 23 volumes out in Japan, but only 9 volumes of it translated in english out in America. PLEASE scan and translate it!

The art is lovely in its own way, though the story is what hooked me. The characters were continuously evolving (So you learned a little bit about each the further you get into the story, which is great.) It's a bit dissapointing that so much time was spent on trying to decipher the characters in kanji used between characters (It may have been important to stress how each character's language was slightly changed and how they were a like- needless to say it's a turn off.) Otherwise, the story is catchy and keeps attention and all in all it's a pleasure to read. If only it came out in the U.S. sooner- worth every penny spent on it if you like a humorous romance.
♥!!

I don't think it's very fair to compare Koori and Silver Diamond. I read Silver Diamond before Koori, and the differences between the two are just too significant to make a comparison. Both are excellent, with great artwork (and an amazing attention to detail - the landscape art is gorgeous) and creative characters. Silver Diamond is very original in both its plot and its characters, which significantly adds to the story. What would a world be without water? Silver Diamond ingeniously shows how this would effect things—from people to politics to even the simplest things, like paper.
While this lacks slightly in the shounen ai department, the dynamics between the characters hint at more to come. Do give this a try. It's definitely one of my favorites.

This manga is so good that it could be a future anime serie..(I really hope that) Both the story/ plot and the character design are so awsome that you will enjoy reading every page non-stop. Silver Diamond is a top quality work by SUGIURA-sensei therefore it can´t compare with others shonen-ai mangas.

A good manga so far, it has way better art than in "Koori no Mamono no Monogatari" but the story seems weaker to me..
It's still a great read!^^
Edit- oh, and the jokes are great too^^

I like it a lot. The artwork is great, the characters are funny and even as a fantasy story it's kind of special. Me like. >:3 I hate the part about it being licensed, because of the reason japanyaoilover said: it's going to take so long before they get to volume 8. Maybe it's worth it though. I so wanna have it in my manga collection. ^_^
Awsom
