Description
Murooka is an elementary school teacher who carries a secret: He likes little boys, and not in an orthodox way! Because of this he must wear a "mask" to hide his motives. But what happens when a temporary teacher with the body of a school boy starts working at the same school? Will Murooka finally find love? And how will he deal with the beautiful female teacher who begins to fall for him? Not to mention when his first crush and uncle of his favorite student volunteers to help with the school play. Will Murooka ever find peace? Hilarity and general craziness ensue.

This is a totally hilarious manga, but probably not for those who are iffy on shota and mangas that don't have much depth. The shota aspect of the manga didn't bother me at all, but other people might be more sensitive to it. Like other reviewers have said though, there's nothing extreme, and I think it really makes Murooka a funny, conflicted character. The thing that bugs me is that there was really no resolution. I thought there would be something with that other teacher, but it didn't go anywhere. >< I would recommend reading it to lighten your mood, but it won't be one of those super memorable mangas.
In the manga world, pedophilia isn't something to be ashamed of. In fact, it's often the norm. What manga male doesn't want to spend some time with the curvaceous, supple beings with saucers for eyes and lions for libidos that make up the prepubescent population in certain genres?
Of course, the real world isn't like this. Most people aren't pedophiles, and most of those that are are closeted and wracked with guilt. Kamen Teacher, for all its comedy, it one of the most realistic depictions of pedophilia out there. This is no essay comic, though - it's decidedly exaggerated and consequently hilarious. Kamen Teacher is a great read for anyone a little weary of pedophilia in manga and looking for a good laugh.

This is funny (more towards crack humor lol xD) & it's pretty cute seeing how an elementary school teacher who Loves young boys juggle the two roles without crossing the line xD His over-obsessing thoughts & inner melodrama are very amusing!
like the previous reviewer i hate shota, and came across the mangaka through a oneshot. kamen teacher is hilarious. i don't even mind that he likes little boys; he really doesn't ever do anything, he thinks badly of himself for liking boys, and he doesn't even have particularly perverted thoughts -- they're sparkly and typically shoujo romantic (flowers!). he mostly fails at actual sex (there IS no sex in this manga); he's in a total tizzy when he has the chance with an adult (who looks less like a boy than chi-ran or cj michalski's "adults"). the humour and the expressions make this manga worth picking up.

I recommend it, it's a very different view on an overly done theme in mangas(Pedophilia). Although no pedophilic acts ever happen in it so it is safe to read. It's a nice view in to the mind of someone struggling with such tendencies with a comical twist.
The last chapter and the Extra where so funny >_< that's where I laughed the most.

The story is simply about the daily life of an elementary school teacher that has pedophilic desires, but he never gives in to them. He knows he has a problem and he's always struggling to keep them under control and not hurt the children. It's a very unique story and a different view on pedophilia than what you usually see in mangas(Shota).
He knows he's a pedophile, he knows he would hurt the children and lose his normal life if he did anything, so he controls himself as best as he can. Therefore this manga has very VERY low ick factor, he never does anything but look. He gets nose bleeds and stuff but it's placed in a comical scenario so it's not distasteful.
I can't dislike the character, he's trying really hard. It is somewhat realistic, there's probably people like him in real life struggling with their nature in order to lead a normal life.

I found this a little pointless. Maybe it just didn't suit my sense of humor, but I only found it mildly amusing. It didn't really have a plot, it just follows this pedo for a bit with no real beginning or end. I also found it creepy even though nothing happens in it(which is only sort of true). Not really my thing.
Strangely reminded me of a book i read recently called Lolita. There, it was a paedofilic step-father infatuated with a 12 year old girl. Here, we have a homosexual teacher infatuated with boys who are young. I dont know which is worse, but perhaps they are as bad as each other. However, i felt far more uncomfortable reading the manga because it had little boys and i have a little brother around the same age so i felt really irked. The comedy did not do much to cover the paedophilia aspect of it and i must say i couldn't finish it. Not because of the whole uncomfortable-paedophilia aspect but because it was boring and didn't seem to be going anywhere.
Sorry can't remember much about what I thought at the time when I was reading it eventhough most of the plot is pretty vivid in my mind. Seems that I didn't enjoy it from a comment I found on my computer
for all its weirdness.. i totally like it!! im not a fan of BL or something but for some weird reason.. i seem to like.. maybe because of the subject that it tackles, maybe because i sort of think of it as cute, maybe it made me laugh, maybe because.. well.. just because! i dont know.. i have nt read that much yaoi.. but reading this made gave out a feeling like it was making fun of yaoi or something.. i love that feeling!! fufufufufufufu.. but somehow.. it was kindda realistic.. but if this was to happen in the real world.. hmmmmm.. i wonder.. what would happen.. but since its just a manga.. then its brilliant!!! i have to say that i really like it.. though i have to say that the art looked pretty wasted..
somewhat realistic, totally outrageous, blatant manga about pure shotacon in the wrong world (in the right world, he would have all the boys in the school. While in the real world, he'd be in jail.)
That being said, I can't understand the point of the story.
