Looking forward to season 2

Enjoyable read

I felt it was a good blend of everything. Without going over the top. It is a perfect read that I feel ends solidly. Though a bit predictable plot wise.

Smut over romance because the FL is very meek as has been pointed out already. The politics (the depth it goes into) feels kinda out of place even though you kinda need it for this type of setting.

If you want something similar that is more romance/fluff-oriented and has more drama than "action" then do check out Under the Cherry Blossoms (Dodam-eo) instead.

I loved it, the fact that it was so well drawn and the main characters are great, Eunwoo is so nice, lovely and fully dedicated to her court lady job, her love for the prince is beautiful.
The prince itself might be at first a bit presumptuous and harsh on Eunwoo but we understand his hesitancy when we continue the story which is totally understandable.

Bland, bland, bland. Politics was more intriguing than the romance. Hell, even the smut was just...bland. 😕

- i’ll keep this short and sweet cuz i dropped it after like 10 chapters
- fl is not really weak, just very submissive. she has a career goal and is very kind and polite. not my vibe for an fl
- but the dynamic between her and ml (crown prince) just doesn’t make any sense. like no chemistry and the relationships too toxic cuz he’s an asshole that needs to be out in his place
- politics intrigue not enough to keep me in. more curious abt cultural discovery/discussion but otherwise it’s very much smut over romance. wish plot was more gripping. nice art

overall: 3/10 pretty but unsubstantial material. first asian bg “oi” type beat though ! but bland lol
