This story... I love it. I mean, it's choke-on-your-Pepsi hilarious, bury-your-face-in-the-pillow-and-squeal adorable, wallow-with-a-tub-of-ice-cream depressing, and all in all -- one hell of a manga. I mean, sure, they don't particularly act like they're fourteen, but it didn't really bother me that much. The only thing that struck me as odd was...
*cough* But otherwise, it's a wonderful manga. XD I greeeatly recommend it. Tsukasa is a hardcore heroine. I love that.

SHIVA IS HER UNCLE?!?! WHY IS HE GIVING HER HICKEYS. *facepalm*

I really like this series. Like most other series it has got parts where I think: "Ugh, not worth reading.", but wholesome it's really good if you like action, romance, strong heroine kind of stories. Uhm... and the yakuza is kind of ridiculed in there a bit, but not as bad as some other manga I know.
The art is bad but the story is mostly very enjoyable.
@kittenz73 In later volumes it turns out she is the "goddess of battle" or something like that and ít's in her blood to be this strong. Guess they forgot the genre "Supernatural" or "Fantasy". It has got a bit of both (supernatural powers).
Well that happens if you don't complete. People who dislike near-perfect heroes/heroines shouldn't read that.

amazing story!! simply looove it!!
just didnt rate it higher, 'cuz i ended up compairing it with "skip beat", which is waaaaay better, the best EVER, and also due to the ending. when i finished reading it the only thing that crossed my mind was: THATS IT even so, its really funny and its worth reading ^^

Tsukasa and Ryuji are my favourites! I love the characters, they're adorable and hilarious but the yakuza plot lines failed to keep me reading further. I'm talking about the school drug mystery, the underground gambling thing, etc. I'm only on the 13th chapter and with 40+ to go I'm kind of bored. It's clearly not something I can finish within a day or so. But it's better than Skip Beat imo.

I started reading this manga with pretty high hopes which grew as I read but then when I ended I fell off my stairway to heaven like a bucket of sand and suffered withdrawal symptoms. Suffice to say I simply loved this manga with its intricate plot, the detailed action fighting scenes, the delicately balanced humour and the touching romance. Yoshiki Nakamura truly is talented when she clenches your heart with her drawing and writing style, the heartfelt moments make your heart bleed eternity... maybe not but still. I really, really, really, wish it could've ended better or even have had a sequel because the characters, plot, art and setting are just to DIE for... not literally.
It is quite unfortunate that it hasn't been recognised for the wonderful piece of art it is, seeing as it has neither been translated into English nor turned into an anime. Tsukasa, Ryuji... may we meet again.
Oh, and in response to all the reviews about the fact they were only 14... I kept forgetting.

The utter ridiculousness of the fact that the main characters are only 14 when they look and act much much older aside, this was a very good manga. The heroine, Kozuki Tsukasa is a strong girl with a very genki personality, basically just like Kyouko from Skip Beat only with fighting skills instead of acting skills. I must admit, it took me awhile to really get into this manga but by the end of it I didn't want it to finish. The plot becomes much more interesting as it goes along and the deepening relationship between Tsukasa and Ryuuji was one of the highlights of the manga.

An amazing manga which combines comedy(it's really HILARIOUS),action and a wonderful romance.Great story, great characters;i really can't find any flaw.As expected from the talented Nakamura Yoshiki-sensei.By the way,for those who say that Tsukasa is just like Kyoko from Skip Beat! with fighting skills,i have to say that this is not true at all. They are both powerful and strong character-wise but their personalities are entirely different. They both bring laughter and are not your typical annoying/Mary Sue/weak shoujo heroine but Tsukasa is really really different from Kyoko.Anyway, highly recommended. It's a shame it didn't get animated although it was popular in Japan.Read it people^^
As said Ariakit :License the damn thing already!

I read this because I am a HUGE fan of Skip Beat and wanted more Nakamura. I love her characters and her artwork. Especially her artwork. There was not a single character I disliked, even among the baddies. I also have a thing for seriously intense heroines and the scenes where Tsukasa is all in crazy-fighter-Wakasa mode struck me as absolutely amazing. One of the great things about Nakamura, for me, is that her stories make me want to be a certain character. Most other manga makes me want to be the one involved with certain characters. Heh.
I agree I would have like Tsukasa to become a little girlier by the end. But the series ended quite well and I really enjoyed it.
