So apparently I read this back when Kagerou scans released ch 1-5 but when Exiled Rebels picked this up two years later I had no recollection of ever reading this. Usually that would be a pretty bad grade but honestly I loved this! It's nothing special but it was such a nice read and I loved the characters (especially the mum).

The main "not-related-so-it's-not-really-incest" story is fine, although I preferred the side arc about their twin siblings. I like Minazuki Yuu's art style and appreciate the lighthearted tone of this story, so reading it was perfectly pleasant although forgettable. Still giving it a solid score because I did overall enjoy it.

I mean, if you're down for a silly stepbrother romance + smut, then you're not going to be mad about this. It's definitely about brothers getting it on though. There's nothing interesting about their relationship beyond that (literally nothing). But it's fine.

Like at the beginning it was pretty much common tropes, but when the Embarassed Confused Riku finally realised his feelings and end up the one who confessed first it was already different! All the Characters is Charming! The Family and Friends are totally fine with the Main Couple's relationship and that's made it more Nicer! The Second Couple is Pretty Cute and Sweet too! So it was really Good Manga!

It's a completely average story, so cliche it hurts. The idea about stepbrothers in a forbidden gay relationship is already overexploited and in addition it's badly executed. Moreover their inner thoughts take way too much space and they're not impressive or interesting so I started skipping big parts of text. It was so boring I couldn't force myself to read everything. Riku - older bro - is dumb and dense guy, I couldn't stand his density. Also I didn't like twins, they supposed to be funny but instead of smiling face they brought me annoyance. I guess I didn't like this story, so I won't recommend it.

Let's just say that my first encounter with this author was a little.. bumpy to say the least, so I'm glad there's something else from her that could 'redeem' her impression on me. I really like the characters, especially the twins, and it's a lot of fun getting into their shenanigans. The humour also played a big part in making the stories shine, and I truly think the mangaka should stick with writing comedy instead of more serious stuff. Not everyone is blessed with a sense of humour and she should treasure hers; likewise writing angst takes a lot of skills and expertise that I don't think she has sufficiently developed over the years.
