Holy crap! This was an amazing manhwa! The storyline, characters, basically everything about it really drew me in. Even the art was incredible, even though it was a little odd at first. I was blown away by it and am really glad that I took a chance with it since I'm not a big manhwa fan.

I started reading this (however long ago...?) because the art struck me. No matter how often I read it, the art was still amazing. Captivating and interesting. All of the metaphor with Ill Dung and his head and his house was brilliantly done (ahhh that diamond tipped place always cracked me up). It was sometimes very harsh, bleak, in order to fit with Ah-ee's life, but then it was also amazingly beautiful. Not only the art (again, awesome), but the message. Her slowly growing desire to be herself, no matter what sort of person that might seem to be to outsiders.
I loved the ending. I won't do spoilers, but I just wanted to say, I loved it. It was perfect. So...
Do you believe in magic?

I found this an interesting story to read. A small part of me wanted the magic to be real and for R to show them all that he was a real magician, but that's not really what this story's about. Likewise the perceived romance that could have happened between R and Ah-ee. It was never going to happen, to my mind, and therefore I didn't expect nor want them to get together.
The art was quite something. It was symbolic but in an open way: there was no "hidden meaning". You could actually understand what the author was trying to get at rather than having to re-read it many times to get the small hints. The artstyle fitted the story. I particularly liked the changing of the boy when he "stepped off the cold tarmaced road"; it was a nice touch.
I think the full impact of this manga would hit you if you read it all in one go, rather than chapter by chapter as I did. As such, it's kind of difficult for me to rate, because it's not average (5) but neither did I find it exceptional. Rather, it's the kind of manga that, while not difficult to understand, will probably leave you with a message that you'll remember.

I finished this story in one sitting, and it was amazing to read. The harsh realities of society are not a new subject, but the way in which the author told the story was so unique and touching. I think what got me the most was the art style. It was not typical and flowery, but it still pleasing to look at. The sparing use of color also set the mood very well. I don't understand why some people complain that the symbolism is too obvious and therefore pointless. I felt that it really steered my emotions while reading it, and it was definitely refreshing to see, since most manga/manhwa don't use such artistic choices.

In regard to Minhyuk not being a real magician in the end, I doubt the author intended for the term "real magician" to be taken literally. It was shown very clearly that his magic tricks are just tricks. I personally think it means that he was not fake like the rest of society, following a set path because it's expected of you and it will make you "successful." Plus, he's so good looking, even I want to say he's a real magician.

this story really seems like a modernized version of peter pan - and i hate/love that story so i had the same relationship with this webtoon. I think that people in the same age group as the characters (or older) will get the most out of this story (as i did). I started reading it when it first got translated, but if you've read it it has this surreal vibe to it that kinda makes me depressed. Any ways its an amazing touching tale of growing up very much like peter pan (with that bird as tinkerbell) and the main character as wendy. enjoy it and don't take it too seriously cause we do live in reality

I gave it a 9.5 because I really like the ending , it is perfect suit for Yoon Ah and sausage head guy (Sorry , I really can't remember his name >.> ) ... They wait for the magician's return because he simply disappears , no matters how its take long for them . Yoon Ah is continue do her magic tricks and going out with sausage guy . Sadly , I wish the author could make epilogue for the magician's return or I wonder how he is doing . But I think the author want to leave our imaginations for the ending .

horribly caricaturistic and overly simplified story that doesn't make you think....storyline plummeted too fast, only redeeming value was art which was telling the story in a cinematic way among other things....art was creative and inventive...wasn't as exciting later on but creator used some unique ways of telling the story

Of all the manga I've read, I think this is one of them that truly deserves a high rating. Though I've given many stories 9.5-10's in the past for how much I enjoyed them, I think this one deserves it for much more than that. It was incredibly mysterious from beginning to end and had me wondering about certain elements and characters throughout the story. In addition to it being intriguing, it touched something inside of me that I could relate to personally. It went deep into the troubles of the mind and pressure that the main characters were feeling and rather than evoking these emotions directly, it made you think about it and understand it in order to really feel them. I loved how the idea of "magic" was used as an escape from the real world and the pains of reality and how at the same time it distorted the story's world or the perception of people, which was paralleled so heavily to our own. In all, I think this manhwa is worthy of praise because of it's central theme, unique qualities and personal/psychological focus(reflection maybe?). It made me think, feel and wonder all at the same time.
The art was different but good. It was weird in the beginning for sure but it was so... distorted and fascinating simultaneously. I began to like it more as the story progressed because it flowed well with mood and the underlying theme of the story (like portraying chaos of the mind. And it especially tripped me up with that one kid's abnormal shaped head). I also think the characters were drawn beautifully. Especially the main male lead/magician guy. (My goodness. I'm still confused about what to call him. He has like 5 names, or maybe I'm just mislead)

I never believed in magic. I still don't, even though I've just finished reading this. But somehow the plot and is just way too epic. It's nice! But the ending is so sad...that guy just vanished like that, and he was so handsome! *sigh* what a sad story
