Cute and funny

I liked this one. Unexpectedly, it's quite funny and endearing. I feel like there's still certain cliches(as always), but it's cute. It works. The art's clean cut and nice, and the characters make me laugh. Isezuki-kun is very dramatic and funny. His efforts to get to the girl he likes is very sweet.

But I liked most that the focus of the chapter wasn't on Isezuki's efforts to get the girl; it was more like "friendship" and "reflection on the rhythm of life". That made it seem like the story broke away a bit from the shoujo mold(ie. guy gets girl, etc).

Very nice. I will be looking forward to the next release :3

Beautiful and heartbreaking

I have not wrote a review in a while and feel compiled to do so for this because of how beautiful and subtle the themes are written.

The 4 friends who are different coming together, acceptance. The moments of realising "this is it, our last days together" is gorgeously portrayed. It doesnt have a punch like Aozora where everyone strives for it but more of a real, day to day, what will happen in our future feel.

The mangaka doesnt go crazy spelling out everything that happens instead we see select memories of their high school life, which is just like how we would most likely recall ours. The friendships that were built up were "explained" at the end with the scenes of them together when they first started school.

It reminds me a lot of my own high school days. Spending time with friends eating at shops, idling at places near school. Realizing at the end about the fragility of the moments we have left. Nostalgia at its most poignant.

It made me want to LIVE

This is the story of 4 completely ordinary high school guys who are hesitant to move on from this state of their lives. Long review short,.... this made me cry, smile, and cherish the beauty of their friendship.

You know that feeling you get when you see people doing things that just seem so meaningful but ephemeral? I got that feeling while reading this, and it made me notice how little I care for my high school life right now. I want to be so happy that I would tear up on the day of the graduation or something. Their friendship....part of me envies it.

Beautiful times. :')

If you're looking for romance, this isn't exactly the best place, BUT read it anyway.

It's a nostalgic-feeling story about a group of friends going through high school. It's pretty much about growing up but enjoying and appreciating youth. Definitely give it a try when you have some time.

It's not plot-driven but focuses on the relationship between friends.

it makes me relive

the feeling of wanting to grow up again. sure, sometimes it seems cheesy, but it's the kind of manga that makes you think, "oh, i wish i'd did this and that. i wish i'd really run after the things that i want."

chapter 2 made me think about the things i've been doing throughout my growing-up years. what parts of them do i regret? what parts of them am i truly happy about? what parts made me feel proud of myself for my decision? what parts made me who i am now?

just like yumemiru said, certain cliches are there (but really, with many things coming out now, it's hard to not have a cliche), but the execution and the focus that this manga has has more of a profound effect on me than akizuki-sensei's other works, like say, akagami no shirayukihime. she did great with that manga for the general cute romance (shirayuki is awesome), but i feel like this manga did have more of an effect on me. i very much recommend reading her other works.

nostalgic slice of life

the nostalgia and slice-of-life levels in this manga are off the charts. it was an adorable, refreshing, simple series about the friendship between 4 high school guys. i disagree that it was "cute guys doing cute things" since there was nothing moe about the guys or their friendship with each other. got very bromantic at the end, but there's a good amount of regular romance for the characters as well.

i adore each of the four characters. i feel like their were built very well but also easily through the audience just seeing them in their everyday lives and interactions with others. especially kurata the cynical tsundere and nogami the smiling enigma. it would be great to see this manga in anime form.

I am reading this at an emotional time of my life where, like the 4 guys, I am about to go to college and am only a couple weeks off from my graduation. I definitely agree with others. It is cute and endearing and highlights different parts of growing up. Agreed, it is cliché but really focussed on the friendships made. Ahhhh, I'm getting really nostalgic about my high school years now!! >.<

Romance was good but the friendship was eh

Seishun Kouryakuhon is a short 2 volume series about Mostly friendship and some love. It the lives of 4 highschool boys and there last year in high school. Not knowing what the future brings. Despite having 2 main characters that are both male in a shoujo manga. It only has hetero( mostly) romance. But the ghey vibes were strong

Now what i liked about the series is the romance. That was what elevated the series. it cute and passionate. Sadly only 2 characters get romance arcs. The rest are really more around friendship. Not to say the friendship was bad it just wasn't as good as the romance.

Some of the dialogue was cringey. Too many Dudes saying the word love when not talking about a girl.

Nonetheless with 2 characters that were really likeable it made this series fun. It never really dipped but I do wish romance was a bigger focus since I actually thought that part was well written.

TLDR:: Overall Romance was good, Friendship was ok. 6/10

I don't really like reading this kind of story: heartbreaking, reality and such. I'm very sensitive. But there are a few that just calls to me, and this sis one of them. I'm so happy to have read a growing up piece, completely with beautiful art and story. This manga makes you realize to appreciate the present, your friends and families, and the future that is about to come. Let's all work hard for that future smile

well I started reading this a long time ago and it took me like a month to finish this and usually when the manga has like 2-4 volumes I finish it in a hours
although its good and I enjoyed reading it but at the same time the atmosphere was kind of boring and when I finish reading one chapter I don't get that feeling ( I HAVE TO READ THE NEXT ONE RIGHT NOOW ) you know what I mean ..

anyway
the story is pretty good I gave it 9/10
the characters is lovable
the art for some characters felt like it was incomplete especially the eyes !! coz it gave you the Impression that the character is surprised when it's not !
