close to an end

Ive been reading this series for about 2 years now and it always gets better and better. The chapters are just long enough for me not to get antsy about waiting another month to read a new one.

It seems like the story is getting close to the end with the latest chapter(Ch. 97).

Spoiler (highlight to view)
When greed showed up at the end of the chapter, i literally cheered out loud 'REVENGE TIME'.

i prefer the manga. it is better than the plot on anime, sorry.
one of the shonen manga who didnt drag (such as Conan, One Piece or Naruto--sorry, i didnt like Naruto but i like the other two.)
i kinda get it why someone said felt like let down in chapt 44 or so-- when Lin came, it wasnt that nice, but as the chapter goes, awesome.
i didnt believe the mangaka is a girl. i thought the cow was a male all along.

great manga but.............. when the f*ck are they going to get back their bodies!?!? The manga isn't over if they get them back! They would still need to save the world. They had a chance to get them back with a real philosophers stone that they didn't even make themselves and they go," i think it would be wrong since people died for this to be made. We'll find our own way." WTF.... They already died!!! At least make it so their death helps you get your bodies back.

Besides that glaring lowest point in the manga for me personally... This is still a must read.

I LUVV Full metal Alchemist!! It's one of my favorite manga. When I first started reading it, i was totally hooked. I loved it. Then when it got dark and dramatic, it got really exciting and breath taking. But now, it kinda calmed down, but I'm definately expecting more awesomeness. Thank you Hiromu Arakawa for bringing the world this totally awesome series!!

probably one of my favorites of all time so far. story is really funny and light hearted, but also has the very deep backstory. many manga try to pull off some comedic relief during a serious fight. this is one of the few i've seen do it successfully.

Both the anime and the manga are brilliant. This is surley one series you can't miss, it's a classic. However, I actually prefered the anime over the manga. No matter which one you watch, both the anime and manga are great! Don't miss it!

Shonen Masterpiece

I've just finished catching up to the current releases of this manga and i have to say that I am truly impressed. This Shonen manga brings a magnificent plot along with great characters. This is one of the few shonen mangas with a deep storyline that can compete with the storyline of seinen mangas. And as a shonen, it is very unique and original in it's theme yet still engraving that essential shonen feel.

Another thing i like about this manga is it's depth and development per chapter. Being a monthly manga, it gives an ample amount of story per chapter that can be equivalent to the plot of four chapters of a weekly manga. Every chapter feels like a good chunk of read and doesn't leave the reader wanting more from the chapter. A lot of other monthly manga that i know of are really Draggy and I'm not liking it.

Anyways, this manga is a must read!!!!!

BEST.
SERIES.
EVER.
I love Full Metal Alchemist with a passion. It's one of the best mangas ever. The plot is amazing, the characters are funny and yet unique and insightful in their own ways, its filled with humor and saddness, action and romance. FMA's transition from a lighthearted series to a deep insighful one was smooth and made it so much better. I like how the plot kinda falls together in pieces, and the managka keeps us guessing. The relationship between the main characters is never static, and the plt progression always keeps you on your toes.
There isn't enough I can say about the different characters (Ed, Al, Havoc and Mustang are all <3) and the overall sheer kick-assness of FMA that could possibly give this series the praise it deserves. If you haven't read it yet, I dunno what the hell you're doing - hurry and go read it already! embarrassed *pushes*

Definetly in my top 5 list

Fullmetal Alchemist: in my mind, it deserves a million trophies. It's certainly one of the greatest I've ever read, and I have read a lot. Just like a perfect stew, Fullmetal has all the right ingredients of an excellent plot development, character development and designs, emotion, action scenes, and of course, humor. A perfect blend of the right ingredients make its overall impact somewhat of a BAM in your brain (haha). It's a manga fit for all readers in that it's a mix of everything nice. For example, if you don't like action, there's plenty of other elements for you to enjoy.
It's hard to say what the best part of this manga/anime is , because the whole thing is so good. But I have to say whenever I read something, I really look for that character and emotional development, mixed in with some adventure. Purely fighting mangas doesn't interest me because they lack something that the heart needs (I am getting really sentimental here). The trials that Edward and the gang goes through, and their growth and maturity over time really hits me.
Overall, the plot unravels a bit like a puzzle pieces. You put a few together here, and you put a few there, and at first it doesn't connect into anything and you think you just have clusters of matched pieces, but suddenly a piece pops up and everything starts to relate and rely on each other.
The anime, I, rather than recommend, must insist all anime fans to watch, even if they haven't read the manga. This includes the movie sequel to it too. Beautiful coloring and animation, great voices, EVEN in the English version! (That has got to be a 1st.) Though it's a bit different from the manga series, it still has a great plot and even rounds off nicely, almost like a separate but amazing series.
All in all, if anyone is debating whether to read/watch this or not, DO SO! It's definitely worth the time smile
