Nice Art, Great Story
by Dezi

Rating: 9.0  / 10.0
I looove this one. Every once in a while I read this manga again. And everytime I find it fun and entertaining, yet very romantic. This is a favorite yaoi of mine regarding the storyline. I like it a lot when romance and comedy are perfectly mixed together in a - in my opinion - quite refined way. The art was very good but not great, hence the rating.

Laugh out loud hilarious comedy

Okay, this is nothing for people who want pretty art and sexy men!
It's pure comedy and I oftentimes didn't know what was going on exactly but it was still funny.
Two straight men, one a lover of big breasts, the other a leg/foot fetishist, and somehow they still keep ending up with one another!
I enjoyed the type of humor in this work, though I must admit that some pages had way too much wall of text and I didn't read all of it, but then again, just looking at the pictures was enough sometimes!
The art is funny but not pretty or anything, and the manga ends a bit abruptly for my taste.
All in all though, a solid comedy, not much plot but plenty of lol moments!
And beware of the beer! Cause it makes straight men sleep with one another over and over and over and ...

Weaponized denial.

....I hope actual guys with homosexual tendencies in Japan are not as much in denial as they are here. Because if they have even just 1/10 of it...hoo boy.

It's very comedic, very funny and pokes with the 'sleeping with the rival' storyline, but...the denial bugged me. The pretending to be a straight -- or at least, to deny the feelings between each other, bugged me. The lack of resolutions in the storyline bugged me.

It's not Kunieda-sensei's fault as it is the character's own fault, but STILL.

Endless laughter

Their denial of their obvious attraction to each other is so incredibly funny. I especially couldn't stop laughing at the "tsundere" comment. I wish it was longer though, and yes, I would still be reading this even if it WAS 100 chapters. So many hilarious situations.....

I read this a few months ago and i re read it recently. Its one of my favourites simply because of the amount of humour and utter idiotic denial both characters present xD if you like awkward situations and two men desperately trying to deny their actions and emotions, this is the manga for you. Its hilarious, entertaining to the nth degree and on top of all that its got a good story line and likeable art.

Totally Amusing!

I laughed all the way through this story! Damn, it was amusing. If you look for a great yaoi comedy, this is the right choice. But somehow, the ending was a bit unsatisfying.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
They never really admitted to themselves that they liked each other - and might, just MIGHT be homosexual or in the least bisexual

And that's why I only rate it 9.

This made me laugh and broke out of all the cliché elements that I hate in yaoi, which is always good.
The two main characters are morons, but I wouldn't want them any other way haha.
And the women in this are not to be trifled with either! That was probably one of my favorite parts heehee.

My only wish is that it was longer...

50 x 50

I admit it - gay encounters between aggressively straight guys due to alcohol is one of my favorite setups, ever. It's certainly more plausible than almost anything else that happens in yaoi manga. 50 x 50 treats this situation with her characteristic hilariousness and realism. This manga isn't some implausible flowery romance between a guy and a chick with a dick - it's a story that could really happen. My only complaint is the lack of an ending. There's some vague hinting that the two are going to live together, but it's very vague indeed. I guess life's like that sometimes.

Humourous and Captivating
by MightyMaeve

Kunieda-sensei's deceptively 'sloppy lines' capture wild extremes of emotion and pours liquid movement into her comical art! I've never read two men in so much denial and yet so out-of-control at the same time! And the art bespeaks the emotions visually.

Although the boys keep going in circles, each circle is full of tension and humour so I wasn't bored at all! It's never explicit; it's all implied sex scenes. That said, there are tense moments that keep the comedy grounded to make the characters really come to life as individuals. Like the space between Adam and God's finger in Michelangelo's fresco, Kunieda-sensei has got the right moves! She even manages to objectify women as seen through the men's eyes, and still remains tongue-in-cheek funny.

The best chapter is when they meet two girls that embody their fetishes and their personalties. Each man ends up dating the girl that is just like the other man! Just keep denying the obvious, boys...

This story has a hot little yuri kiss too!

The scanlation team did a great job--professional and yet personal--as they attempted to connect some of the nuances that would be lost on a North American culture.
