I'm pretty sure that Yuki and Seiji are gonna end up together...even after all the silliness. In all honesty, the oneshot was definitely much better--clear cut and to the point. About the only frustrating thing that I can think of with this one is all the random side character (i.e. lust interests) that keep springing up. Oh, and Seiji's kind of a tool at times, but that's about it.
I'll keep reading until the end.

I don't get why people expect a manga to be just like real life, why would you want to read about real life?
This series got me and a lot of friends hooked, it's the best romance series I've read so far. It's way better than Kimi no Iru Machi and some others I've read. I've had this on my todo list for a while now since I've heard good things, and glad I finally got around to reading it. Yuki is probably the best female character I've ever seen.

Even though the Manga started really nice and interesting I think it is rather frustrating then enoying. First I thought "hey he is learning and going to be mature and decisive at this point" but no, he's indecisively playing around with everyone and hugging people who are still in love with him even though he should be conscious that it's hurting everyone. Simply dissappointing - someone really needs to punch him in his face and show him how much damage he is causing due to his cowardly behaviour. (So much for character growth - he is as still almost as weak as in the start of chapter one..)

I don't think you should drop it after just the first chapter. That's just setting up the characters. It gets better really fast, especially in terms of character and plot development. I'd like it if none of the shounen cliches were around, but having to only deal with very few is good enough. Plus, Yuki is always there to set those generic shonen assumptions straight.
Yuki's a strong character, which is great.

Had to change my comment for this. Series started out great, but as time went on, it just got worse and worse. Too much drama, too much plot-induced stupidity on the part of the main characters, and the MC, who was once decisive and growing, did a complete backpedal into a typical wishy-washy protagonist who does nothing but hurt the girls around him. Plus, by the end of the manga, I lost any like I had for Yuki. So much potential wasted.

"The first part was really good. it does downhill from there but it has its moments. I didn't like how they just introduced new characters just for the sake of plot devices. Mostly though THAT ENDING! wtf was that. I have to assume they had no idea how to end the series and just went with something they thought up. the way they resolved

the touro / yuki issue and seiji getting back together with yuki
was sooooo underwhelming after all that build up. and then the final issue to overcome was some random shit with her parents that we didn't hear about until the last few chapters. and then the time leap to 10 years in the future? didn't like it at all"... Last updated on February 8th, 2019, 5:33am

It's really fantastic piece of work ... but it's funny (and it is laughter through tears), that the ending of "Good Ending" is really bad. Last +-20 chapters (exclude very last chapter) are totally unmanaged, and author is dropping to total mad story spins.
As some people below mentioned, it would have been better, if it was shorter.
But lets look on its brighter parts.
It is the first manga that I read, where characters are not acting like they are totally insane. Where, if one character is in love, and is asked to help another person to get the person she loves, she refuses (character 1 - in love with char. 3 - is asked by char. 2 to help get the char. 3, and char. 1 refuses). There are so many situations, where "real life logic" wins over a "manga logic", and thats really enjoyable. Story spins and feeling changes are quite believable, all characters are very well managed, have good character builds and are acting just like they should - according to personality.
Lead male character for me is one of best so far, because he acts just as I would be acting (most time of first half) 😀
Final: Really enjoyable manga, even if its bit confusing sometimes. Author is playing really well with feelings of reader and keeps shortening and stretching out the distance between main chars, what creates really good tension. Even if last chapters are really badly managed, other parts are incredibly good, and that makes it a really worth-reading manga with heart-grabbing story.

And Touru was totally unmanaged from time when he comes to real life contact with Yuki ... I think he ruins the story a lot.

Utsumi falls in and out of love repeatedly. He also falls into precarious situations with girls repeatedly. We see him in extreme bliss then we see him in utter sorrow. This is a drab manga with boring characters and a dull story. It rotates from school setting to out in the city to a Japanese festival. The plot is merely falling in and out of love.
There are no interesting side stories, no unique characters, no charming incidences or humorous occasions.
Fans of Twilight and the Hunger Games should definitely read this. Illiterate and shallow people will find something at their reading level that they can identify with in this manga.
