i started reading when there was already a good chunk of story out there, so i sort of binge read it. and it was really good. i LOVE the heroine, she's a strong female lead without seeming too annoying or being unfeminine. i dont know why, but i'm not in love with kurosaki. like, i have nothing against him but nothing about his character just ever made me excited for romantic development. i guess what i do like about their relationship is that teru (f. lead) wears the pants in the relationship. like their relationship is entirely dependent on teru, who is still a teenage girl. there's none of that unrealistic 'idgaf about society and how this is kind pedo-y, KISS ME TERU.' no, it's more "she's still a teenager, she shouldn't/won't see me as a man yet so i wont do anything" which i really love.

but post-reading binge i realize the plot isnt really sticking with me anymore. the villains are pretty bland, they need a little more than just "merrrr find daisy". i was hoping the jack o frost thing would turn into something a little bigger, but so far i'm not seeing much...

overall it's a decent read with really great art, attractive characters. highly recommended.

At first I was prepared for this manga to be like all other shojo mangas. Typical shojo girl, typical bishounen guy etc tec. BUT, I cannot believe how different this manga is from all others. What everyday manga story is about a hilirious comedy heroine and a lolita (equaly as hilirious) janitor? However this manga is not all about laughs and comedy. The storyline is deep, exciting and touching. In fact, I cried during some parts of the story. Sometimes I feel that the author is having fun playing around with the reader's feelings. First I'll be crying so hard then the next I'll be slamming the table bursting out laughing.
I cannot discribe how beautiful the art is. I understand that most people disagree with the artwork but I find it truely captivating. Each scene is drawn with detail and the characters are not all shojo style with big sparkling eyes or shimmering hair. I know that many people love their characters like that, but Motomi sensei's art is very detailed and it is really beautiful mixed with the wonderful storyline/plot.
Dengeki Daisy is my top number 1 favourite manga both for its art and storyline. I have read lots of shojo mangas but no manga has really truely matched up to the level of this lovely work.
I recommend it very VERY much to those out there who are dying for a great manga. Who knows?
You might be hooked on like me.
I very easily give it a 10/10

The plot is very unique and original, and the story was neither dragging nor fast-paced. I never got bored of it, and actually, the more I read it, the more I got hooked. The pace of the plot gave enough time for the characters to develop, but it didn't drag long enough to lose my interest.
And of course, the characters are just incredible. Kurosaki is an awesome male lead. He's handsome and smart, and I like the fact that he bullies Teru around, but behind the scenes he's doing everything he can to protect her.
I really like the heroine, too. Teru isn't overly violent or air-headed and naive. Rather, she's smart, witty, funny, and I like the fact that she's quite girly, not tomboyish. She has her reckless moments too (which usually puts her in trouble) but she values her friends, knows how to stand up for herself, and besides, no one's perfect. I also love the fact that she cries and shows her emotions like a normal person, and yet still look strong.
And the side characters are really interesting. Riko-sensei, the chairman, (former bully) Rena, and even Teru's bestfriends. They're all epic.
Kurosaki and Teru's relationship is lovely and well-developed. I reeaaaallly adore their love story They have quite a large age gap but they go so well together that I don't even care xD

It has darker elements which may put off some shoujo fans (like my friends) but really, it's such an original, heartwarming, heartbreaking, funny, amazing, series.

RECOMMENDED.

the characters are all so beautifully drawn and the love story around teru and kurosaki is just so adorable! the other characters have been well written (and drawn!) as well, aiding to the plot and development of story and characters
the recent chapters have been a bit wordy and but THE most recent chapter has returned to its former glorious cuteness
it's very typically shojo however the main girl is smart and strong, not the typical crybaby! not the incredibly naive either!
a must read for someone looking for shojo, funny and a strong heroine

The artwork is cute and funny sometimes. I like the way sensei create Daisy with such interesting personality. This manga reminds me of Glass mask with the plot of the "little girl's hidden protector" & st like "I will love him no matter how bad he really is". Daisy is somewhat like Masumi ^_< with so much struggles in his heart.

The characters are really charming - both the leads and the rest. Even the villains are entertaining.

I like the story a lot - a good mix of romance and plot.

Dengeki Daisy is a manga I would definitely not hesitate to recommend to anyone who is looking for a solid, interesting, unique, and well-executed plot.
This is the first time I have come across such a perfect balace of drama, tension, romance, and comedy. Nothing gets too draggy, neither is the manga ever too extreme - and what I find is that the pacing and interweaving of the narration, character development and dialogue in-between deserves a firm 10/10. Never have I been so touched to the core that it actually "grips" me, and it's fascinating to see the tone alternate between Daisy and Kurosaki, creating somewhat of a harmonic dynamic despite their differences in reality.
The choice of words especially, is what I would say is the high point. Daisy is hot too, which is always a major plus. Furthermore, this strays from the usual cliques in shoujo manga, so...
...Absolutely brilliant - and this comes from someone who (no offence intended!) is not into lolicon or anything to do with IT/computers - somehow I've managed to shock myself by getting addicted to Dengeki Daisy. READ IT.

The comedy,the mystery (quite predictable but still surprising),the characters,the story,the art,everything. It's detailed and not so cliche. What I love about this manga is that both the guy and the girl understand each other,there's no need for misunderstanding drama or jealousy in here. Teru's type of female lead is very rare,I mean which girl would shows her navel? That scene made me literally lol. So she isn't the one who needs protection and do nothing. She can't fight,but she knows what to do and she gradually changes (she learns about what happened and not going to let it happen for the second time). She cries too,yes of course but there's a meaning behind it. Not just because she's hurt because the guy left him or blah blah in the typical cliche shoujos. She cries,then she tried to stand up again and look for a solution. She lets herself became a servant not because she's bullied but because she owes something.
So about Kurosaki the baldie,he went through a lot in the past. Well anyone would feel they have an unforgivable sin if someone died because trying to save him,someone he loves,someone who for the first time understands him. The story? I would say perfect though there's still some parts that's left hanging,like 'who threw tables to Teru' or 'why did Sou suddenlt has cancer' It's not so important but I'm kind of curious so it bothers me a little.
About the bad-guys (antagonist) characters,I love how Motomi Kyousuke made them bad because they had reasons. After all everyone is a human,there's no way that someone's bad just because she/he wants to be bad. There should be a reason. Ex : Rena,Takeda,Kiyoshi,etc.

Anyway it's recommended for those who're looking for dramas and mystery. This is good and hilarious. It's neither boring not cliche. It feels real and cute at the same time.
You can't find cheesy misunderstanding in Motomi Kyousuke's mangas,all of her(his) manga's characters understand each other.

This series is not hard-core shoujo. If you're a hard-core shoujo fan and have no plans to read anything but that, you can stop reading this review and stop reading the manga. You're not going to get the sappy "high-school" romance that you want.
I have to say, Motomi Kyousuke in this–––she definitely hit her high point. The character development is astounding, both in the main male character (in which it is obvious), and the female main character (where it is masterfully subtle). In its own way, the plot is gripping, allowing the reader to be pulled in by the romantic tension and suspense (from the mystery of her brother) without weighing down the whole story. There are shoujo elements which simply cannot be ignored, preventing a dark overtone. No matter how deep the characters get, I still have a reassurance that this manga will not end badly, nor will it be too morbid.
That said, the general high points of the story are the character development and the main character herself. She is witty and intelligent, making for good dialogue interaction with the male lead. I also consider the plot to be a high point, despite that many have called it "slow." Compared to other shoujo, they are probably right, but if the plot were to move any faster, I think the story would lose so much. It would lose the ability to portray its characters in the proper light and its credibility as a "unique" shoujo.
Some of the lower points of this manga are, in some places, the muddled plot and the art. Now art is subjective thing, but the art in this, unless you prefer this style, is not going to meet anyone's standards of typical, pretty shoujo. I, for one, like this manga-ka's style, but I thought I should point out the roughness of it. The other thing that prevents this series from being a 10 is the confusion surrounding the plot. While most of the time, the manga-ka does a wonderful job at keeping the suspense going without making it too heavy or overdramatic, she fails at the juggling act more than a few times. Sometimes I feel that in order to lighten up the mood, she adds a typical shoujo fluffy scene, but it ends up out of place, rather than a well-executed mockery of shoujo cliches. There is also the cloudiness surrounding each element of the "mystery." I put it in quotes, because it is actually quite predictable by shoujo standards. Each element of the mystery that is unraveled is generally quite lucid, but there are times when I just have to say "What?" as if she just made a mistake in revealing something or didn't tell the readers enough to want to finish reading. Thankfully, this has only happened a few times thus far.

All I can say is, if you're open to shoujo, read it. My only question would be, for how much longer can Motomi Kyousuke keep up the previously mentioned balancing act? After this series ends, I will probably adjust my rating to account for that.

The plot is well written, and the characters seem realistic enough. In fact, I hate those guys who are all bad boy, and I hate the girls who super air-headed and naive. Kurosaki is one of the most favorable characters you'll ever come across with it. He is humorous and good-looking. I also like the fact that he isn't one of those male characters who have superior strength or anything.

Teru is very funny and silly. She isn't one of those naive girls who don't know what to do. In fact, she is the complete opposite: heroic, witty, intelligent, etc. She and Kurosaki will be the perfect pair. Also, I love the art. It's better than most others, and plot is very original.
