well, first chapters are pretty slow, i'll have to admit, and it's insanely gory, much to my displeasure, as most of the female characters are pretty attractive. once the story picks up though, which happens i'd say around 70-80, it's pretty damn awesome. if you have the patience, just stick with it, and you may find yourself very pleased. maybe.

A must-read if you enjoy mangas in the action genre. I'm gonna be as non-specific as that.

Also, after chapters 78/79 or so, the plot got waaay deeper than expected. The storyline has a very long way to develop from this point on, way past the original conflict involving only the Organization, Claymore, and Priscilla.

So...I guess so far I'm enjoying it, and will be closely following the future updates, which there will be a lot of.

The only bad point this manga has is that there aren't more chapters yet.

I love how Clare develops. She goes from a regular badass warrior chick to a superbadass warrior chick.

The plot is relatively linear but thats no flaw here. The action is great and this is one of the shounens where I absloutely love the teamwork and felt the all actions were complimentary. A tragedy in a fantastical setting, what more can I ask? Proud strong female characters, nice action and an original concept. all mixed in one package.

Go read it, you wont regret it !!!!

Although some people say that the after the begining the series got really boring. I on the other hand thought it was a really addicting series. I just couldn't stop reading it. I don't think this is a type of manga that appeals to everybody. But if you like the fantasy and fighting scene stuff this is definetly for you.

heck! this goes beyond a measly 10 in terms of plot, characterization, character development and the best: Art. I've read Angel Densetsu beforehand and despite the initial bad art I've gotten over it and got into the plot which is the funniest thing! But this! Is.A.Masterpiece.

Seriously. I absolutely ADORE the characters. Yagi Norihiro's art is unique and realistic and -i'm sure it's mentioned before but- not sexist. Yes, females dominate the plot but not in a feminist -men are useless, role reversal- way. They gave a reasonable explaination of how females claymores came into power and better control of their desires. (i won't go into too much).

Back to the art. THANK YOU!! The body proportions are definitely realistic. Doesn't damage a girl's self-esteem at seeing impossibly big melon sized breast females fighting. Nope. Not true at all. Big breast and martial arts does not equate thank you very much. Each character's faces are unique and beautiful in their own way and their back story breathes life into their personality. Not everything is black and white and this story plot expands over time within the manga, locations travelled, plot development, back stories. EVERYTHING you would find in a story near masterpiece.

And guys, please look beyond the skimpy clothes thanks

shavonescales; I truly do hope you follow your own advice to read more, before you let you axe of obliviousness fall over this masterpiece 81 chapters as of now, and the story is so huge that this could go on to be another several decennium-long manga a la Berserk (imo the only manga that is above this in masterpeiceness ;>)

10/10, and I rarely or never rate mangas above 7, so no overrating here ;0)

..it's a very interesting manga when it comes to girls in skimpy suits fighting with swords. Lot's of action and nice art, that's about it.

The concept of the plot is interesting and..that's about it. The plot development pales in comparision to sword fights itself - hence making that manga more about action than about story.

I like the story, characters are quite good as well. Action is ok, not the most important thing. People complain about the art, I read angel densetsu(another manga from yagi norihiro), and i thought the art sucked, however you learn to at least accept it if not even enjoy it

it was one of the best manga i had ever read but since up to vol 7/8? it got kinda boring b/c i like the part of the main character and the kid with her but since i their were gone (wasn't talking about them but the company instead) it just gotten boring cuz you know that the company is wrong but this new girls thinks that the company is right and is defending them. lol its really really annoying in my opnion so ya. xD
